The Ninja (Season 1)

The Beginning

My eyes focused hard on my mother.

"Do I have to go?" I asked scanning the room.

"This school won't be anything like the last one, I promise." My mom says consoling me.

"Could you hand me my charm I've seemed to misplace it." I say looking around in my backpack.

She walked over by my laptop and grabbed it.

"Here its over here, I don't know why you still hold onto it. Its like a constant reminder that she's..." She said.

"She was a nice lady mom, she always looked out for me." I said cutting her off. Thinking back of my memories of my grandma.

"I just don't like being reminded that she's gone..." She says, I grip the charm tight in my hand.

"You better get going Chris, you might be late for school." She says kissing my forehead.

I walk a few blocks looking down the street seeing people stand by trash can fires. Seeing different crime occurring I hurry to the school eager to meet new people.

After entering the school I walk left through a hallway into my home room, at least the school lady gave me directions. A few people already sit at tables behind me talking amongst themselves quietly I sat at an open table waiting eagerly.

By now a few people start eyeballing me. I couldn't see it but I could feel it. A couple more teens enter walk through the door including a guy comes on my left and sits shortly after the bell rings.

He wore mostly black along with having long hair and a piercing right below his lip. I sat there thinking to myself about different heroes that I look up to.

The teacher walked in with a grin on his face, soon after entering he starts calling people's names off.

"Catherine?" The teacher said.

Resulting in the door being shot open and a lady rushing into the room.

"I'm... Here," Said Catherine.

"Late as always." Said the teacher with a laugh. "Please sit." He said and she sat down next to me.

The teacher said a few names but everything goes silent. Everything excect a ticking clock becoming ever so louder.

I griped the charm in my hand, my face hidden in my hand. My hand trembles a bit hearing the elongated alarming noises.

The clock lets out one final chime.

"Chris I can tell your first day is going to be an adventure unlike any other. Welcome to Aster city High." He said reaching his hand out to shake my hand.

I quickly slide the charm in my pocket and then I shake his hand.

As a moment passes by he starts back where he has left of saying the final name one the list. "Vinnie?" The guy next to me says here.

Soon afterward the bell rings signaling us to go to first block.

Everyone begins making there way to their classes but when Catherine, Vinnie, and I stand.

As we stand the teacher speaks.

"You three, are in my first class of today. So if you wouldn't mind you could stay."

Catherine stands up for a moment.

"Could I use the restroom?" She said looking to him as he nods.

She walks fast out the door as she leaves people start entering for their class.

The bell rings and Catherine enters.
