I have only watched the season 1 of this show. I would've watched all of them but turns out each episode is 40 minutes and there are 6 seasons so far ( I think). The last season is gonna come out. I have a lot of studies that i really need to prioritize at the moment, hence I cannot stay with a show too long without any breaks just hoping to catch up.
Here's the deal-
I really really liked it. It was my first time watching a trans-character and I felt educated because I was 13 when i watched it, and I had never taken out the time to do my research about genderqueer folks. I watched this during my phase of coming to acceptance with my sexuality/ acknowledging it. This show made me feel okay.
It's a netflix original and they aren't holding back on nudity or swearing or anything so.. explicit content, doesn't treat me like a 4 year old, really appreciate it.
There are so many lesbians in that prison and there are also black characters, asian characters, christians, jews, and even the homophobes. IT's DIVERSE.
Although I am a little bit pissed off that they never call Piper Bisexual and just say that she was gay first and is straight now. Like, wtf. But, the rest of the show is pretty badass and who hasn't wondered what it's like to be in prison?
