"Y/N! Y/N! Y/N, wake up!"

A hand was gripping into my shoulder, shaking me as I fell into consciousness. I could feel a light throbbing through my skull, but it didn't bother me enough. I let my eyes dart around the room before I settled them onto the person who had been calling my name, his features hard with concern.

"Hey, are you ok?" He asked, placing his hand on my jaw, gently lifting my head up to check for any injury, though how I could manage to injure myself while sleeping was still beyond me.

"Conner" I said, unsurprised. It had become routine. Every night since I got to Mount Justice, which had been six months, I had been having nightmares. Nightmares caused by the stress of not being in my own world, not knowing whether my family was alright. Nightmares which resulted in injury of myself, or someone close enough. It was something that triggered my powers, apparently. And since I still had pretty much no actual idea how to control them, I would end up bruised and lacking significant amounts of energy. Conner would get hurt sometimes, too. "Are you hurt?" I managed out in a ragged voice

"Just a bit. How are you, though?" He said taking my hand in his as I slid off my back into a sitting position "You're shaking, violently, and there's some bruising on your arms and on your hands." I had noticed I was shaking, as if I had goosebumps, but when I looked down at my hands, I hadn't expected what I saw.

Purple-blue bruising on my knuckles and surface of my hands, some greenish yellow beginning to form around them. Veins extremely visible from beneath my skin, their former green glow dying down a little. The kryptonite that was running through me.

"It hurt, Conner, I felt it this time. Stronger. You must have gotten hurt. Let me see you" I said rushed, heat surging to my face like fever.

"I'm fine, really." He didn't finish as I took his wrists, then pulled up his sweater's sleeves to reveal green-edged wounds and bruises. A green blood-like substance clung to his flesh. "It's not that bad"

"Conner, what do you mean, "not that bad"? There's kryptonite inside of my body, I'm made of it, and it gets to you, a kryptonian no less, and you tell me it's nothing?!" I was angry at myself. DC Y/N certainly doesn't have nightmares. She obviously doesn't hurt Conner the way I do. She's stronger, better. "I could kill you, Conner." I bit back tears. "I need to leave already. The only thing I'm good for is causing harm."

Conner looked alarmed, settling to sit himself next to me. "Hey, listen. There's a reason why you're here with us, why you're my girlfriend. You don't cause harm, you fight against it"

"No, don't you just understand? I'm not her, not Supergirl, not this amazing kryptonic human creature that fights evil and wins. I'm not that person, Conner. Not that Y/N, not your girlfriend. She's where I belong." I drew my hand back from his and moved to walk towards the window. "There's nothing I can do to make me be her"

"You're wrong. You are that person. Strong and determined and ready. You've proved that ever since you got here. You've trained and fought and you've won. You may not exactly be her, but you know that she is just a part of you reflected in another universe. She's your reflection. She's you, you're her. The same girl." He reached me and put his hand on my shoulder, turning me around "The girl I fell in love with" He smiled "You know that. You might not be her, per se, but you're better. It's a little weird, but it's you. And I love you."

I looked up at his eyes that went paler under the moonlight that shone into the room "You- you what?"

"I love you, Y/N. Supergirl." He held my waist firmly, yet gently. "All of you, because you're the same girl, just reflected."

"I love you, Conner. Superboy" I said as I allowed myself to smile, for real, as I lay my head against his chest, letting the steady beat of his heart numb my insecurity. "All of you"
