Here we are ladies and gentlemen,

Gathered to celebrate with joy and excitement,

Mixed with lingering sorrow,

At the thought of leaving school forever on days after tomorrow.

Hey, remember that time teachers told us off?

Days where some would skip school and sleep in between classes?

Days where we rejoiced after exams?

Anticipating for school holidays,

And worrying about nothing but our stacked up homework.

How time flies...

We'll no longer wear this attire called school uniform,

Such experience will no longer return in any form,

That time has come for us to be independent and more mature,

To face challenges in life that are inescapable for sure.

Teachers breathe sighs of relief,

They say 'good riddance' to our endless mischief,

Our batch might be slightly intolerable,

This poem is then written to make it presentable,

Our much gratitude and resentment for our behaviours,

Cheers to those who gravely endures.

As for my fellow fiends, I mean friends,

Do not fret,

With life's twists and bends,

Stay true and strong-willed, don't you forget.

I'll pray that success in life and hereafter for you to get.
