Sumire couldn't suppress a playful smirk upon the challenge battling Shota would present. It was exciting and fun, and it would be something that would test her abilities, which she hadn't had in a while.
"That's a pretty bold claim there, Eraser." She teased and began to stretch her legs.
The students stepped back to give their superiors space. Midoriya couldn't contain his enthusiasm as he cheered, "Man, this is so cool!" The freckled boy pulled out an old notebook from seemingly nowhere and began to scribble inside of it intently.
"We can really learn a lot from seeing two pros spar together." Iida added.
"Now, since this is a teaching moment, I should probably explain a bit more about my quirk first." Sumire began, causing the class's actual teacher to release the tension he had built in preparation for the friendly fight. "It's called Phantom, and like the name suggests, it allows me to basically assume the properties of a ghost; you know, turn invisible, walk through walls, not adhere to strict laws of gravity, things of that sort." She pulled two ninja-like knives from where they were sheathed at her wrists and continued, "My suit and these knives contain technologically advanced microfibers that extend Phantom to these objects. Kinda cool, right?" She chuckled.
The impatient and overly eager Iida raised his hand to pose a question, only to be interrupted by Shota. "No questions. They'll be answered later."
"I think showing you all how Phantom works will answer enough." She smiled. "Oh, and I only have five minutes to attain victory. That's how long I can use it within an hour timespan." She then turned to the other professional and lifted her chin in confidence. "Ready?"
The capturing weapon that Shota wore rose again, floating around his neck dauntingly. He ran his long fingers through the thick black layers of hair that fell over his face, smirking once more and fastening his yellow, shaded goggles over his eyes. He was not going to take it easy on her.
And she wasn't going to slack off either. She gripped her knives and stood in preparation. She stared down the dull, lazy-looking man, and not daring to leave his hidden gaze, she addressed the students. "What are you waiting for?! Count us off!"
So, in unison, the class shouted at varying degrees of excitement: "Three, two, one..."
As soon as they declared "zero!" Sumire vanished, along with any trace of her. They couldn't hear anything or hear and footsteps.
Shota looked around, using all of his senses to scan the environment around him. Midoriya was already jotting down information in his notebook, passionately waiting for the next move.
One of the knives suddenly appeared in midair, slicing a few strands of her target's hair as he barely dodged the attack. At the same time that the weapon was revealed, she had become visible a few meters behind the man. The knife was pulled back to her with the threads it was attached to and she disappeared again before he could turn around and erase her quirk.
The black-haired hero waited for her to appear again, knowing she would likely attack from behind him, he was ready to catch her the moment she threw another attack at him.
But she was a step ahead of him. She showed herself in front of him - where he was not expecting her - and shouted "Over here!" just before vanishing again. In the second that he jerked around to catch her, she launched another knife at him in the opposite direction, leaving a ribbon of blood on his side.
Shota became irritated upon realizing that she would be a hard opponent to actual catch, but once he did catch her, she'd be easy to detain. What he also knew was that she had a time limit. She could only remain invisible for five minutes, and she would have to come close to immobilized him and take him down. All he needed to do was wait and defend until she got close enough.
