Star's POV

"How do you feel about all of this?" Kron asks while jumping on top of the hood to lay beside me of the rusty old landspeeder.

"About what?"

"You know, having to marry a stranger. The war. That stuff." He says while watching the stars in sky shine bright.

"It's overwhelming but nothing I can't handle."

"And the wedding?"

"The wedding...he...when I returned a few days ago from my capture he and my father had decided to move the wedding within a week at least."

"What?!" He becomes shocked by the news. "You- you- you can't marry him! No! How can your father even think to leave you in the hands of that vile, cold and heartless freak?!"

"Kron..." I tried to soothe him. "Don't worry about me, I will be fine. Okay?" A frown appears on his face.

"I just can't imagine you being in the same bed with a man that has killed many innocent lives. Runaway...with me. No one will know. If we go now we can-"

"Kron, I- I don't like you like that. I see you as my own brother. Not as a lover. I'm sorry. My heart will belong to Thrawn."

"By heart, you mean your body will belong to him." He snaps. I glare at him. How could he say that? How can he not understand that I am doing this for my people and my mother?

"Of all people...I thought you would be the most supportive about this."

"Well, sorry to disappoint you...' princess'." He says sarcastically.

"If you don't want to leave...fine. Take yourself home." He gets in his shuttle and begins to fly off.

"Kron!" I watch as the ship flies away towards the city.

"Great! Just perfect!" I yelled.

"Excuse me miss?" I turn to find a villager slowly approach me.

"Would you like some help?"

"Thank you, but I think it's best to not help me, citizen." I begin to walk even though I have no idea where I am.

"Of course, princess." I immediately stop and turn around.

"How- how do you know who I am?"

"If I may say, it's not hard to determine that you are part royal due to your appearance. And you are all anyone's been talking about." I take notice of the villagers that were gradually becoming visible by stepping into the light. I grow a bit alarmed. Maybe they knew that wine seller.

"Do not worry your highness, we have no plan on doing any harm to you." She says in a gentle voice.

"Do you know the man. The wine seller that tried to assassinate me?" She somewhat frowns.

"Yes. But he was not a good guy. He had a rough past. His family was killed by the Imperial during an invasion. He has successfully poisoned many people before, but the moment he found out you were an Imperial is when he almost had the chance to avenge his family."
