Star's POV

I watch the sky rain fire instead of water. Soldiers burning alive. Rebels and Imperials against each other. My dress was not white but blood red. I gaze at the battle around me. Bodies of women, men, and children. I see a lifeless body that was a few feet away with their back facing me. Their uniform...I could possibly tell they are from my empire. I approach and I immediately regretted to ever choose to take a glance at the person. I fall on my knees in front of the dead body.

"Father..." I begin to sob. "I- I'm sorry...I'm sorry!" Everything around me begins to collapse including the building we are on now. I scream as I fall into the darkness.

"Star!" I immediately sit up and tried to calm down my breathing.

"Star..." I turn to find my father.

"You were just having a bad dream, my child." I stood up and walked to the balcony to gaze outside. The sky was beautiful this morning. There was no blood. No deceased bodies.

"Star...are you alright?" I inhale slowly.

"Yes, Father. I'm just...nervous about the wedding."

"Do not fear him, it will take time to adjust to-"

"I'm not afraid of him. It's just...will you and the girls be okay without me? On Derlando?"

"Have no worry, Star. No matter what, never forget that your family is always here to guide you." Someone knocks on the door.

"Enter." A stormtrooper appears at the doorway.

"The emperor asks that if you could get ready for the ceremony," I nod.

"He would like to speak to you...personally." The soldier speaks to my father.

"I will be there in a moment."

"Now, Star. I will be back in time for the ceremony. Just know, that your mother would be as proud as I am."

"Thank you, father."

A few hours later...

I hear Simone just squealing.

"You look so beautiful!" Her eyes begin to tear up a bit.

"Aww, Simone, please don't cry. If you cry, then I cry!" Saint teases her.

I continue to gaze at myself in the mirror. I didn't feel anything at the moment. Not happy, sad, nor excited. Not even the slightest feeling of nervousness.

"Are you okay, Star?"

"Um, yes. Yes, I'm...I am just fine."

"Alright, just...let us know if you need anything, at all. Even during the ceremony. We are here for you." A soft smile forms on my face.

"Thank you, girls."

The door slides open.

"You look just like your mother." I turn to see my father standing in the doorway.

I glance back at the mirror. According to law, when marriage to unite two different Empires, one law states about 'dress code'. Both must wear suitable clothing for the event. Such as for the groom to wear a uniform and as for the bride, she is to wear a simple white traditional dress. No additional beading or any design on the dress.

"If you ask me, the dress is sort of...too simple." Saint comments.

"But it looks good on you, I just wish we were allowed to add some detail to this...mess."
