4- Nice Talk

The strong noise of wings flying away disturbed Wolfpaw. He pushed his paws up to his ears shaking uncontrollably not been able to stop. His shoulder was hurting badly as he had a deep wound caused by the bird. He heard Ashfire painful meow as he saw his brother been carried away by the eagle. Wolfpaw was not able to look up, he heard loud noises in his head he was not able to truly describe was was going on. Suddenly the noise stopped and he heard a nose touching his forehead. As he looked up he saw Cloudsong looking down at him extremely worried.

" Are you ok ? Does it hurts that much ? " she said licking his ears , Wolfpaw was not able to talk for a second , he simply nodded feeling a indescribable pain he has never experienced before. The apprentices walked to meet him , some still glaring up at the sky hoping to see Crowspirit but he was gone. Wolfpaw noticed Badgerpaw's pure hatred glare down at him. He understood why. Crowspirit was his mentor and it was his fault now he was gone.

" Birdwing, you are taller and have less scratches so carry Wolfpaw on your back" Cloudsong ordered her. Redpaw ran extremely fast to meet his best friend.

" Wolfpaw ?? Wolfpaw are you ok ?? Please tell me you are ok " he said in a shaking voice.

" I am ok Redpaw don't worry I-" Wolfpaw was about to say but was interrupted by Ashfire.

" Move faster, we have to tell Hawkstar what just happened... and carry Wolfpaw to the medicine cat den " he said darkly showing no emotion more than grief. All warriors looked at each other worried for the grey tom but simply obeyed. Birdwing gently grabbed Wolfpaw and rested him in her back , Redpaw just close enough to make sure his best friend was ok. Wolfpaw felt his entire world spinning around and was not able to express the pain the eagle left him, he just started crying into Birdwing's fur. Finally the group of cats walked back to their territory , feeling the safety of the trees barely calmed Wolfpaw. Ashfire leaded the group , he had terrible wounds in his neck and face after he was the one who fought more fiercely against the eagle, Cloudsong walked besides him trying to make him feel better but the tom showed no emotion.

The clan sounded busy , cats around working and training some apprentices. Hawkstar was in his den and Nightfeather tail could be seen from outside. As soon as the group of cats entered the camp , it was like the whole clan stopped breathing. Cats begun murmuring in pure fear as they noticed the cats with noticeable wounds. Wolfpaw could hear they all talking about him , he felt extremely embarrassed and ashamed of himself for not been able to fight the eagle.

Suddenly a loud cry drowned the camp as Moonfrost dropped her prey and ran as fast as possible to meet Ashfire and the group.

" Moonfro-" Ashfire was about to explain the scared mother but Moonfrost interrupted him and pushed him by the side to see Wolfpaw in Birdwing's back.

" WHAT HAPPENED !! WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM !! " she cried desperately but was stopped by Cloudsong.

" He is ok Moonfrost, but he needs some space and be treated so stay away " Cloudsong explained.

" Tell me what the fuck to do next time and I swear I will rip your fur off !! "Moonfrost unsheathed her claws ready to attack the shecat but Timberpelt quickly arrived.

" Calm the fuck down Moonfrost " he said in a sharp voice. He knew the only way to make Moonfrost not turn crazy was taking control over the situation.

Wolfpaw felt disturbed as he could hear his mother's voice. He let a protesting meow looking for her but only could see blurry pictures.

" WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM !! He is bleeding !! Wolfpaw is bleeding " Moonfrost said in a complete broken sob trying to meet her son but continuously getting pushed back by both Timberpelt and Cloudsong. Ashfire went to meet Moonfrost, he felt responsible for what happened to Wolfpaw and knew he had to explain what happened.
