CODYS POV
i arrived at the mall, it, for once, was filled with enormous crowds of people; but what else what you expect around this time of year. the new school year would be here in no time. not for me though. i pulled out my phone to check the girls file, which i'd taken a picture of before leaving my house earlier. the file held ALL her information, including her address, phone number, social media, job, hobbies, and siblings. but there was no image. everything but an image which was almost crucial to complete my mission. i checked over siblings and opened up my phone to find the name of the targets sister on Facebook: Y/N. perfect. looks just like her. i sent an email out for her information and began travelling around the mall.
i began to look about the different categories of shopping, the food court, clothing stores, shoe shops. i walked past one final store, and stopped, maxx was in there and was waving me over. fuck. i smiled and made my way over to him.
"yo! cody! where ya been? long time no see!"
he had a big smile on his face. i wish i could work the same job as me and be as happy as him.
"about. how'd your last target go"
"eh, he was a bit hesitant to give the money over but we got it back off of him in the end."
he shrugged and turned to some shoes on a shelf.
"so, what're you doing outta the house for once?" he continued on.
"my new target, got no clue what she looks like so i came here to see if i could find her sister who we actually have a lot of information about."
"..and you thought the best place to find someone our age on a saturday was the mall? cause you'd be spot on."
i looked around me, he was right. the mall was filled with A LOT of girls our age.
"her names Y/N, dont suppose you know her..?"
"yeah! she works next door, but she'll be heading for her break soon so be quick,"#
i flashed a smile at maxx and dashed out the store. i looked around, and saw her talking to someone before walking off. they mentioned something about a coffee place around the corner and so i dashed over there.
YOUR POV
i made my way over to the cafe, but i couldn't help feel someone was watching me. i mean, knowing my lucky i'm probably just being very very paranoid but you can never be sure. i made my way into the coffee shop but was stopped by a man. a tall man.
"hey, how about i buy you some coffee?"
i looked up at him. he had dark blue hair, piercing blue eyes, and soft looking lips with a tiny bit of stubble surrounding them. he was cute to say the least.
"that's really sweet of you, but.."
he didn't seem odd, seemed quite friendly actually.
"no really, i insist," he flashed a smile at me. shit.
"heh...sure!" i blurted my word out and mentally slapped myself around the face. great going Y/N!
i followed him over to the till.
"can i get one coffee, black. and a..?"
he looked at me.
"oh! uhm...a..caramel latte..?"
"and a caramel latte for the lady"
she looked us up and down and then nodded. where did i recognise her..?
"wait over there to pay that'll be ready in five minutes." she gave me a dirty look. the guy paid for our coffees and we both took a seat together. fuck.
CODYS POV
i looked at the girl sat across from me. this was definitely her, fair brown hair, hazel eyes, light skin, thin frame and freckles. she was quite cute.
"so..whats your name?"
"uh..i...uh...Y/N...?" she stuttered and i laughed.
"why did you stutter?" i chuckled.
"i..don't know." he smiled and stared down at her coffee.
"cody."
she looked at me, a look of confusion on her face.
"my name..is cody, cody carson"
"nice name cody"
she looked up at me and smiled. i returned it. she looked down at her phone and stood up.
"i..uh best get going now, my breaks nearly over! i'm so sorry!"
i smiled at her.
"no worries, can i get your number? maybe we can meet some other time?"
she smiled again, her cheeks going a little red,
"of course!"
and with that she scribbled her name down and headed for the door. i'll see you soon. Y/N.
