A Year with Each Nation

Chapter Four!

Sorry for not posting in a while. I Was wroking on two other stories and pushed you to the side. BUT here it is!~

Arthur was Talking to Scottie and Ireland. Wales sat by me in an uncomfortable silence. "Where did you even hide dagger? I can understand the sleeves but they are rolled up." A small smile formed on my lips. 

"I've two hidden actually." The room went silent. "Avis." Arthur stated. "You can't carry weapons around let alone pull them out in public." He held his hand. "Give all your weapons." 

I sighed before handing him my two daggers. His hand stayed out and I glared at him. But I pressed three arrows, a sling shot and a couple of rocks into his hand. "Thanks for your cooperation. Now the only other thing you can not do in public is shift." 

I shot to my feet. "I understand everything else but this, this I refuse to follow." I crossed my arms defiantly. "Shift?" Dylan perked up. "Avis comes from a clan that can shift into any animal they desire." Eight eyes landed on me and I glanced around. 

"can we see?" I nodded. "A penguin then." Dylan said. "Whats a penguin." He pulled a rectangle from his pocket and showed me a picture. "Okay then." I concentrated on the image in my mind. My body became hot as my bones shifted, and I shrunk down. My vision swirled as colors disappeared. 

"That's so cool." I was picked up and I let out a squawk of protest. I stared at who picked me up. 'curse you black and white vision.' "Dylan!" I was pulled from the hands and placed on the couch. 

I shifted back, "Yeah you can't do that in public." I pouted. TT3TT

Time Skip
It had been six months in England. Winter was fast approaching. I had managed to learn the basics of the human world, but some things still surprised me. 

Arthur was teaching me more magic and I was getting better than he was. He would just say. "Its because your an Elf who was once one with nature. Natures the spirit fold of magic which wills the power of Magic." Or so he would say. 

I was sent to school and I made a Human freind. her name is Rose. She helped me a lot when i first entered the school. Scottie dropped by every once in a while, and he and Arthur would drink and fight.

'They are married. I'm telling ya.'

Rose and I walked to school together. She lived only a few houses down from Arthur's . "Avis!" I looked up to see Rose running toward me. "Hey Rose." I smiled shutting the door. "Where's your uncle?" 

I pointed at the window and the curtains moved slightly. We laughed and began walking to school. Out of nowhere she glomped me and I struggled to not fall. "Hey-" I looked at her. "Six more months and your leaving me. So I am automatically allowed to hug you until you leave." 

She let go. "Where were you going again?" I shrugged. "If I recall France." She clasped her hands together. "The city of Love." I rolled my eyes. "Arthur's not a big fan of 'France'." I made air quotations. I thought of my first impression of France and I stifled a laugh.

"See you at lunch." I broke out of my thoughts and looked up to see we were at the school. I waved bye, as she walked away. I headed to my first period, math. I inwardly groaned as I sat down in my seat.

Mr. King walked in and began explaining what we were doing today before handing out a paper. 'Tell me why do humans have to combine numbers and letters together?'  I glared at the paper of distributive property. 

I managed to finish the paper right when the bell rang and I quickly turned it in and left for my next class. By the time lunch came around I was ready to skip. 

Maybe I could turn into a rat and camp out somewhere till the bell rings. As if reading my mind, Rose appeared and dragged me into the lunch line, closing my fate. I sighed and got my tray. Today was hamburgers. 

I still ate a lot of fruit but I ate meat now and m body finally learned to accept it after four months. We sat down at our table and began eating, talking about our Spanish homework. We had the same teacher just an hour apart. 

'I wanna go.  Human schools are boring.' They don't even teach you how to protect yourself just things called equations and grammar. I talk fine for human language if I say so Myself. I mentally nodded, "Avis.." I snapped our of my thoughts

"Yeah?" Then I heard it. "OH AVIS!" My name was being shouted. 'Who?' I stood and climbed onto the table. I spotted Alfred. "Hey Al." I waved at him. Everyone was staring at me. "Ah there you are dude. These school are so confusing." He walked toward me as I jumped down.

"So what are you doing here?" I Asked, "Who?" Rose asked. "Ah this is... My Uncle Alfred from America." I said coming up with the uncle part quickly. "Al, Rose, Rose, AL." I made them shake hands. 

"Pushing that aside?" Alfred nodded, "Ya its England's birthday." He said. Rose stared at him confused. "I checked you out lets go." I stood, "Yay!" He grinned, "Bye Rose."

PAUSE

England was discovered way before May 17 or whenever. I looked it up and it says it was combined with I think, Wales on May 17th and that England was discovered 20,000 or is it 10,000 years before that. Any who go look it up if you really wanna know. So I made his birthday in September. Deal with it. Bam *Slams a door*
 I'm done here. 

Un-Pause

I followed Al out of the school and Saw Matthew. "Mattie!" He waved. I petted Kuma before we got into Al's car. I gripped the seat for dear life as he sped down the wrong side of the road.

When we got to Arthur's I quickly got out of the car with Matt. "Remind me to not ever, Ever, ride in his car when hes driving." Matt nodded his head agreeing. "So who's all coming?" 

'Hmm well. If I recall, all the allies and the axis, and maybe some of the Nordic's?" I nodded as I unlocked the house and we walked in. Not even three seconds later France, Russia and China walked in. 

"Hey Avis." I waved. Al began pulling stuff out of his jacket in a never ending spree. "Avis stand guard as a cat, Alright?" I nodded and walked out the door. I saw the axis and someone I didn't know.

He had white hair, red eyes, a bird on his head, and a shirt that said I'm awesome? I looked questioningly at Germany. "This is my Brother, Prussia or Gilbert." I nodded and Italy walked up to me. "It's a good to see you Bella." He hugged me and I smiled. "You too." I waved at Japan and then they all went into the house. 

I dropped down onto all fours shrinking down into a cat. I stretched quickly getting used to my new form. I shook out my fur and grinned, if cats can Grin? 

I heard a car door slam and I looked up to see Arthur. "Distract him." Al said out the window. I ran down the steps and up to Arthur. I meowed and he looked at me. "Hello Kitty." He bent down and stroked my head. As he was doing that  watched as seven people was rushed into Arthur's apartment. 

A thumbs up appeared in the window before disappearing. I bolted path Arthur and into the open window. I stood with everyone else and we waited. The door was opened and everyone yelled surprise. My came out as a meow though.

"Avis your still a cat." I quickly stood up and rubbed my head. "Forgot." 

Arthur's Pov
I stared shock at all the people in my house. There was Avis, Alfred, Prussia, Russia, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Scotland, France, Spain, Finland, Sweden, and Norway. "What are all of you doing here?"

"Your birthday of course!"  Realization hit me. "Ohhh. I forgot about that. Just means I getting older though." I sighed. "Older but wiser." Yao said. I nodded in agreement. "True True." I shut the door as everyone let me through.

I put the groceries on the counter and noticed a cake. I walked over and looked at it. I smiled to myself.
