chapter two - the case

You had finally after a long day at the station finished your work and some of hanks as he was struggling getting his work done because he continued to get distracted by Connor as he would continue to try and become close to Hank.

You were lounging around at home sipping on come cider as this is what would calm your nerve after a stressful day. While thinking about stress you flash back to this morning and how Connor came to your rescue. While reliving that moment you remember you kissed his cheek with these thoughts running through your head you begin to blush bright red. As if sent from the heavens you phone begins to ring dragging you away from your thoughts. Unknown number was displayed on your phone. You decided to answer as you don't usually get random calls. You pick up and a familiar voice starts echoing through your phone. "Hello (y/n), it Connor I was just calling to tell you that a new case just came in and I have to find lieutenant Hank and you and take you 2 to the crime scene." You began to process all the information that had been unloaded upon you. " Tell me the address of which you are and I'll come pick you up and we can go off on our way to find lieutenant" you begin to get ready to leave while still on the phone to Connor and turns out that he is literally a few blocks away. " Connor would you mind coming up to my house while I pack my things and feed my cat" Connor responded in a mono tone "I shall make my way towards your house " with that you hung up the call and began to gather your stuff. You go to look into the mirror to check your hair. Realising your hair isn't in your normal style you begin to brush through your blue hair and and begin to push it to one side as you would normally do as you suited your hair partially covering your eye. With that done you begin to hide your tail and ears as you knew something would go bad if Connor caught you with them. Suddenly you heard a knock on the door " hello
(y/n) are you there?." With that you go to open the door and let Connor in.

You open the door and welcome Connor in " hello Connor, I'll literally be a few minutes as I have to feed Casper." Connor looked at you with a blank stare as if to say wtf did you just say. "My cat, my cats name is Casper "
Connor begins to nod in understanding as he realised what you were going on about. " Casper beat come on dinner time" you some what shout as your cat can be very lazy when hearing people and now hear comes Casper plopping along with his tail high and purring, basically he wants his nom noms "here you go boy, now be a good boy before mummy gets back ok." Connor begins to examine the cat. "Connor if you really want to you can pet the cat " Connor looks up at you with a sparkle in his eye.

(Btw this is Casper, but is also my real life cat 😋😋)

You smirk as Connor goes down to pet Casper. "(Y/n) what's this purple cat hair doing here?" Connor asked in a monotone voice. With this question you could hear your heart in your ears. Thoughts were racing through your mind and you became more and more worried as you were trying to come up with an excuse to why theres purple cat hair. Wtf would a cat have purple hair fuck. "Ummmm...... P..probably just another cat. I feed a lot of stray cats." This was true as you were able to communicate with some cats so bring part cat did have it's perks. "Oh ok. (Y/n) are you ok you stress level seemed to climb when I asked this question?" With that you begin to face palm in your head. Of fucking course he can see how stressed I am dam the wonders of technology. Why can't a meifwa just live in piece now a days. "Yeah im fine. Anyway let's get going " you grab your coat and car keys and open the door to let Connor and yourself through.
