As the next couple of days went on, the whole hotel noticed a change in Dracula. And it was a great change. Since Jamie came to the hotel, he's been happier. Everyone saw sparks flying between them, which they themselves didn't seem to notice.
Then one day as everything was running smoothly, a giant dog burst in the room and started to cause chaos. That's when Johnny and Dennis came back home.
"Oh no! Tinkles!" Mavis, Johnny, and Dennis shouted.
Drac was about to help when Jamie thought of something.
"Wait. Let me try something," Jamie told him.
"Are you sure? Tinkles can be a handful," Drac said.
She put a hand on his shoulder with a smile and assured, "Trust me. During my travels, I've dealt with bigger dogs that slobbered way more than this. I've got this."
Drac was taken back by this, not thinking there were bigger dogs that drooled more than Tinkles.
"Alright. If you know that for a fact," he said.
Jamie ran over to Tinkles, who was chewing on a skeleton's femur.
"Give me back my femur!" the skeleton commanded, hobbling towards the dog.
Drac facepalmed at what Tinkles was doing.
"Tinkles. Come here, boy. Come here," Jamie called.
That got Tinkles' attention. He found Jamie, slapping the front of her thighs to get him over. He excitedly let go of the femur and ran toward her, giving the skeleton time to get his slobbered leg. Once Tinkles was close enough, Jamie held her hand out for him to stop.
"Now sit!" she commanded sweetly.
Tinkles skidded to a stop and obeyed while panting happily.
"Lay down," she continued.
He got on his back and she got on his stomach. She started scratching him there, making him move around a bit, but not to where he was drooling everywhere.
"Who's a good boy? Who is? Huh? You are! You are, Tinkles!" Jamie cooed like she was talking to a baby.
All the monsters and humans were beyond shocked at how well Tinkles behaved around Jamie. Then she looked over to them.
"So who does Tinkles belong to?" she wondered.
Dennis raised his hand and answered, "Me. My name is Dennis."
Jamie slid off Tinkles and rubbed his side as she spoke, "I'm Jamie. So you must be Dracula's grandson."
"Yep. You know Papa Drac?" he asked.
"I do. We go way back," she answered, smiling at Drac.
Drac returned the smile. Then she brought her attention back to Dennis, who had a smirk on his face after seeing how the two looked at each other. Jamie blushed at that, but returned her attention back to Tinkles.
"So you want Tinkles back?" she asked.
"Sure," he answered.
Tinkles got back up and Jamie fed him a piece of bacon. Dennis took him away and Jamie went up to the group, who were still trying to process what just happened.
"That was...AWESOME!" Johnny shouted.
Jamie giggled and said, "It was nothing. You must be Johnny, Drac's son in-law."
"That I am. And let me guess: you're Jamie, an old friend of Drac's," he guessed.
"Yes. How'd you know?" she wondered.
"Drac has told Mavis and I all about you," Johnny answered.
Jamie smirked at Drac, who just blushed and smiled nervously.
"So you told both your daughter and son in-law all about me, huh?" she said.
Drac chuckled nervously and answered, "I might have mentioned you a few times."
Jamie giggled at that.
If the others didn't see the sparks between the two vampires before, they definitely saw it now.
