I'm so excited!
Today's the first day of school and I was allowed to wear one of my favorite outfits. My pastel purple T-shirt, pastel rainbow suspender skirt, my white watermelon converse, and my rainbow cardigan.
After getting dressed I grabbed my glasses, which just happened to be the same color as my braces, they have a round baby blue frame. After grabbing my backpack and toast I headed out the door. I have always walked to school. I don't know why but, it has always been something I have insisted on doing.
When I got to school I realised that a lot of the students were just waiting outside the school or in the cafeteria. I assume that their waiting for their friends to walk to class with them. I have been jumping around friend groups for the past few years. So I see no reason I should stand around and wait, do instead I decided to head to homeroom.Being not the most focused person I got lost a few times, it was really easy for me to get turned around. Yet after a bit I had found my class.
I walked inside the room, no one was their not even the teacher.
Well their was one person sitting by the window. They, I don't like to assume, looked very calm. I was looking around the room when I noticed their head drop and their grip on their phone.
I decided to take a seat at the desk next to them.
"Hey, are you okay?" They looked at me with slight confusion but, their expression changed as they responded.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It was just my song."As always my curiosity got the best of me. "Oh really, what song?"
They had taken a bit to respond, as if no one has ever been curious about what she was doing.
"Welcome to the Black Parade by Panic! at the Disco."
"I've never heard of that song before, so you mind if I take a listen?"
Again They took a minute to respond, and honestly I understand. I don't even know them and I asked if I could listen to their music. We aren't even supposed to have headphones out durning school hours. Although I guess it doesn't matter since the teacher isn't here.
"Uh, sure."
They passed me their headphones and I had a bit of a struggle putting them on. My space buns were not cooperating with the bulky pair of headphones, but after a minute I got them on.
"This is a nice song."
It was, and it was kinda sad too. I don't know if the tempo at the beginning is what makes it sad for them but, I'm sure it contributed some."No headphones in the classroom please."
Apparently while I was listening to the song the teacher had come into the classroom. I'm just glad that she seems like one of the nicer teachers.
"Alright Miss, we'll put them away."
I passed back over the headphones and they went to put them away. As no one else seemed to be coming to class for a bit, most likely because there are 10 minutes until class is supposed to start, we had time to talk and to get to know each other."Sorry I don't think I ever got your name"
I know that we'll probably never talk again and that this is probably a one time thing."Quill, what's yours?"
Quill, that's such a nice name. It fits with them perfectly, well in my opinion.
"Robyn"
After I had said my name They smiled. It brought joy to me. I was about to ask Quill a question when more students came into the classroom. Are teacher had began to speak, and asked us all to introduce ourselves."Hello class, my name is Mrs. Smith. Now who would like to introduce themselves first."
