GWEN STACEY was a very organised traveller; she knew just exactly where she'd kept everything and all her belongings were categorised. Her mother, who shared the exact opposite trait, told her to loosen up and it's fine if she can't find or forget something once in a while but she absolutely refused to be that clumsy. She'd packed in medicines in case she gets sick, clothes for all kinds of occasions that may or may not arise, all her essentials, documents and passports, were neatly kept. She was ready for the trip of a lifetime, even though it's a science trip; Europe never disappoints.

Her parents had dropped her off at the airport and she was expectedly a little early. She only found the two teachers that were going to guide them throughout the trip; Mr Dell and Mr Harrington, involved in a conversation about god knows what. She'd kissed her mom and dad a goodbye, as they helped unload her luggage from the car, and when they left she waved at them until they were long out of sight. She was going to miss them, surely, but she hardly ever got homesick. In fact, she looked forward to travelling. She looked forward to this trip, too.

After everyone had reached, and it was time to leave, she'd caught up with MJ who was providing some shady facts about Europe; as she did for everything. Gwen kept listening, still pretty fascinated, and added some facts that she'd read on social media as well. MJ rejected those, and specifically said, quote, 'Social media is never reliable for information and it's proof.' Gwen had shut up after that.

As they went to board the flight, MJ had smoothly asked her if she wanted to sit with her on the flight and talk about Europe. Gwen couldn't deny it, she was her best friend, after all. Although; as much as she wanted to sit with Peter during the journey, she said 'yes,' and realised that he would probably prefer sitting next to his best friend; Ned.

She gave him a bright smile as she strutted with her handbag behind MJ, as she saw him sitting with Ned. He smiled back, their eye contact lingering as Gwen came closer, but she was the one to look away heaving a huge sigh. Before any of them could say a word to each other, another familiar voice called Peter out by his last name, "Yo, Parker!" All of them turned to look at Flash Thompson, the one rich bully every school had. Nobody really liked him because he was arrogant and rude; especially Gwen considering he never missed an opportunity to hit on her. He was standing in another aisle, with a glass of champagne in his hand. "This is called an airplane. It's like the buses you're used to, except it flies over the poor neighbourhoods inside of driving through them."

"Would it kill you to not act like a brat for once?" Gwen made the snarky remark, shaking her head in managing her rather heavy handbag on her right arm. "Lookin' good, Stacey!" He winked at her as she scoffed and rolled her eyes, not really paying attention to him. She mocked his face as she looked at Peter, who just laughed in response. Suddenly, MJ remarked, "Uh, ma'am?" She called out to a nearby air - hostess, who turned to look at the brunette. "He blipped, so technically he's still sixteen and not twenty - one."

Gwen laughed. The hostess took the glass away from his hand as Flash protested, running after her to get his glass of champagne back. MJ and the blonde exchanged looks as they chuckled and moved forward to their respective seats. "Classic Gwen, right?" Said an unfamiliar voice from behind them, looking towards Peter and Ned who furrowed their eyebrows at the tall boy with black hair and a tough physique. The two watched as the boy went ahead, behind Gwen and MJ.

Peter gave Ned a meaningful look, "Did you know Brad was coming?" He said, sighing. They watched him talking to the blonde as he helped her with her handbag, laughing about something unknown. Peter glared. "It's so weird," Ned replied. "Like, one day he's that little kid who cried and got nosebleeds all the time. And suddenly, he's totally ripped and super nice, and all the girls are after him."

"Not all the girls are after him," he said in an annoyed tone as he saw him trying to make Gwen laugh, but he was probably saying something stupid because Gwen wasn't exactly amused; considering her expression. "No, man. They're all after him."

"Anyway, on a more important note, it's a nine hour flight. We can play Beast Slayers the whole time." Ned suggested, smiling. Peter looked back again to see where Gwen was, and he spotted her sitting next to MJ and Betty on her other side, chatting about something. Brad was sitting with Mr Harrington and was right in front of them, which means Peter's plan would be at a risk considering Brad would keep talking to Gwen one moment or another. "I need your help to sit next to Gwen."

"Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously."

Ned sighed, frowning. "What about our plan! American bachelors in Europe." Peter looked at his expression and felt bad for a moment, but he really wanted to sit next to the girl who made him feel over the clouds. "That's your plan. That's a solo plan. Come on, this is my plan." Ned looked at Gwen and then back at Peter with the same frown on his lips. "Please?"

Ned finally gave up, and let out a huge sigh to let Peter know he wasn't doing this very willingly. He got up, and made his way to Gwen and MJ's seats. The girls looked up at him as he stood with a small smile on his face. "Hi guys. There's an old lady sitting in front of us wearing a crazy amount of perfume, and it's kind of setting off Peter's allergies." Gwen furrowed her eyebrows and narrowed her eyes at Ned but let him continue, "So, Betty if you could just switch seats with him..." he trailed off with a hopeful look on his face.

She cocked a brow, "He's allergic to perfume?" Gwen shook her head, and Ned saw the expression on her face, forgetting she'd known Peter for a long time and he hadn't had any allergies. He mentally cursed at himself for being so stupid but knowing he couldn't turn back on his words, he gave Betty a tight - lipped smile. "No, he doesn't. Ned, what are you talking about?"

"No, no, he does actually. He just never talks about it," Ned nervously covers up. "It makes his eyes water, and he can't really -"

He's cut off by Mr Harrington who was subconsciously listening to the kids talking from his seat, as he turns to face Ned. "Peter had a perfume allergy?" He questions, concerned. He got up from his seat hurriedly. "I know from experience. Perfume allergies are no joke! I can feel hives breaking out already." He commented, but as Gwen started to protest he cut her off. "But -"

"Get up, get up," He gestured towards Gwen, who still wasn't buying Ned's lie about Peter having allergies, or maybe he never thought it was important to tell her. It wasn't a big deal, but if he was lying, she wanted to know why. "Uh, Ned, take Gwen's spot. Gwen take my spot, MJ you can sit with Mr Dell." She exchanged a vexed look with Gwen, but eventually everyone got to their newly assigned seats. The blonde was annoyed at the disturbance, but when she looked at Brad who eased her with a smile, she figured it won't be bad. "Peter, let's get you out of there. Ned, thank you for bringing this to my attention. Your safety is my responsibility, and Mr Dell's."

Gwen looked back at Peter, who had a mild growl on his face as he sat cramped between an unknown person and Mr Harrington. When she caught his eye, she just gave him an apologetic smile for the company he was going to be sharing for the rest of the flight. He shot back a half - hearted smile.
