Ch. 4

"My... my mom lives 2 hours away from there." Nicki says quietly while her heart beat picks up. She drops the crystal in her hand and runs out of the room

Bey and I follow behind her, calling after her, but she's not listening.

"Nicki." Bey says softly.

Still nothing as we quickly follow behind her.

"Onika!" I snap. She stops walking and looks back at me with watery eyes.

"Why the fuck didn't you guys tell me your mom was murdered?!? How am I supposed to get to my mother in time?!" She pants out while trying to hold in her sobs.

She turns on her heels quickly and starts walking towards her room. We all have super speed, and I'm not afraid to use it. I quickly zip in front of her, and she stops in her tracks with wide eyes.

"What the fuck can't you muthafuckas do?!" She snaps as she tries to walk past me.

"Nicki, stop. I put it on everything, yuh moms will be ok. I promise. Just breathe." I place her face in my hands and make her look at me. I watch as her breathing slows down, and her eyes soften.

"I need to call her." I nod my head.

"I'll call the pilot and get the plane ready. We need to go in the next hour, so be quick." Beyoncé says, standing on the other side of Nicki. Nick nods her head, and Bey gives her arm a gentle squeeze.

I follow Nicki in her room. "Once I'm off the phone with her, you are going to tell me everything." Nicki says before putting her phone to her ear. I lean against her dresser to hear the conversation.

"Mom?"
"Yes, baby, what's wrong?"
"The person who killed Tina is in Montana. He's maybe 2 hours away from you."
"He found me?"
"You knew about this?!"
"Do not raise your voice at me, young lady! And yes, I did. I'm a grown woman. I can do whatever I want."
Nicki scoffs and shakes her head.
"Do you have a protection spell on the house?"
"Yes, baby. I'm not dumb."
"Coulda fooled me." She speaks quietly.
"What was that?"
"Nothing. Talking to Rihanna." She smirks at me. "We'll be there in a few hours."
"Yes, ma'am." Mama Carol says before hanging up.

"She said-" I cut her off and nod my head.

"I know."

"Seriously, I want you to tell me everything. I can't believe my dumb ass agreed to do this with no knowledge whatsoever about you guys. I'm also pissed off that my mother didn't tell me a fucking thing about any of this either!" She flops down on the edge of the bed and holds her head in her hands.

"Come on." I nod my head towards the door and reach my hand out for her. "Bey's ready. We'll tell you whatever you wanna know when we get on the plane." She wipes her eyes and places her hand in mine.

I hold my composure as the electricity from her touch hits me like a ton of bricks.

"Nicki, I know you're tired and scared, babe, but I need you to do the daylight rings so the girls can go with us." Beyoncé says once we reach the bottom of the stairs

Nicki nods her head and let's go of my hand. I'm not gon lie, I didn't wanna let go. Something about Nicki makes me incredibly intrigued. She seems perfect, and it blows my mind no one has cuffed her yet. Its not just about her body, though her body is fucking ill, she's smart and sweet and soft. The complete opposite of me. Every move she makes mesmerizes the fuck outta me.

Damn, I'm glad I put my necklace on so Bey's mind reading ass can't hear me.

I watch as Nicki performs the spell with ease. She hands the rings back to the girls in a matter of minutes, and they look at her with a confused expression.
