6. Hurry

Wake up Rose! Or we are going to miss the flight! Annas annoyed voice filled my room. I could feel someone shaking me and someone stroking my hair. I knew that was Mark and Mike.

Groaning, I sat up as slowly as I was allowed.

Rosy? Are you alright? You are completely pale... Mike questioned, concern lacing his voice.

Im perfectly fine Mike. Just collage stuff took a toll on me. What time is it? I questioned changing the topic as fast as I could without raising suspicions.

Having a caring family is one great thing. But to worry them without a reason, thats not something I would ever want.

Its half past 8! You have been asleep for the past 13 hour Rose! What got into you? Youve never been such a heavy sleeper and you would never miss your dinner. Spill! uh oh... here comes the motherly Anna.

Its nothing Anna. I think we are LATE FOR THE FLIGHT! Lets go!

With that, I dragged the three of them out of my room while the boys grabbed my bags along as I rushed to wash myself real quick.

Whew! That was a close one! Be careful Rose! We cant have Anna finding out more than she should!

Anna? Urmmm where is everyone else?

They left already!!!! All due to your lateness she replies rolling her eyes at me.

The boys took one look at each others faces and started laughing their faces off.

They exclaimed at the same time. I gave them both a blank look and followed Anna out to the car where all the others luggage was packed.

What about breakfast? I whined

Stop whining Rose. We packed some for you since you took so long to open those lazy eyes of yours. They are at the back of the car. Now hop in and stop complaining little one. Mike exclaimed answering Monicas call. We are about to leave love he spoke to the phone Yeah she finally got herself up. We will be there in about fifteen minutes tops if we race! We will be there soon babe. Take care.

Oh great. I just delayed my family by having a blackout I dont even know the reason for. This has to stop... I leaned against the cool window of the car, closing my eyes and breathing slowly. I had to calm my nerves down and avoid suspicion before anything else.

Rose are you listening to me? well I guess I zoned out once again. Yes Annyboo? Wheres my breakfast? I questioned innocently when I know full well they must have asked me some question.

Sigh.... is there any point asking you what going on in your head? What is it thats bothering you so much that you cant even tell me of all people? she whispers.

Anna? Its nothing. Seriously. Please stop worrying about me? Its getting a bit annoying and I would appreciate it if you would stop nagging me on and off this way. Wow. Just wow. This is the first time Ive raised my voice at her and was so harsh.... something has really gotten into me lately and i dont know how to control this anger and confusion within me....

Anna.... Im so sorry... I didnt mean to snap at you and i cant help it... its been a little irritating and I dont like all this nagging.... will you stop? Please? Just for while I promise.

Weve reached kids. Gather your hand luggage and lets gooooo and there is the life saver Mike.

I was scared of the flight. This headache and the blackouts that I have been having are scaring even a plane journey that I used to enjoy immensely. I wonder whats wrong with me that this fear has literally taken over my love for flights. Hopefully its nothing serious.

After checking in and boarding the flight and after an earful of scolding from my beloved mother, i took my seat next to the window. This seat has been reserved just for me since I loved the view of the clouds. I didnt ask for another seat since it would make Anna more curious about my situation than she already is.

Guess i'll just have to go ahead with the flight with eyes shut tight...
