"Anna? Come here right now!" I hissed at her.
"Yes Rose?" she asked with an innocent puppy dog face. I rolled my
eyes and dragged her to the kitchen.
"What is he doing here?" I hissed, annoyed by the fact that neither of
them informed me before.
"Ross? Oh he came to return something you had left back at the library"
she smirked.
Rolling my eyes, I walked back to the living room wondering what I had
left back and not realised about it.
"Rose I had to stop by to return your bracelet you left back at the library
the clasp was broken so I got that fixed for you. I'm sorry it had to
brake. It's okay now though." Wow. Just wow. Can he talk fast or am I
just hearing things faster than the usual rate?!
"Urmmm thanks Ross. Means a lot" I mumbled taking back the bracelet
from him. Anna chose that moment to walk in with a glass of lemonade
for Ross.
Shooting her a thankful look, I slipped the bracelet back onto my wrist, where it belonged. The smile I had on my face after slipping on the
bracelet vanished as I realised the initials read 'RR'. Ross knows my
surname is Anderson and there's no 'R' other than Rose in my name.
The other 'R' in my bracelet stood for Ross..... Good thing he didn't
know I had had a crush on him from the start. Or had he guessed it
already?
Oh no! That's not supposed to happen! I cinsidered making an escape to my room when the ongoing conversation between Anna and
Ross made me freeze where I was.
"So Ross? What will you be doing this amazing vacation? We will be
enjoying this amazing month in London!" she squeals. I slowly turn
around to see an excited Anna and a very confused and hurt? Ross
staring at me... Here I was thinking how I was going to break the news to Ross and there she was, just blabbed out the most delicate thought
without much thought at all!
"Rose? You are going to London? And you didn't think it necessary to
tell this to me?" he questions with a hint of anger in his hurt tone.
"Why would she tell you she was going to London Ross? I mean what
so important about that?" questions my naive sister.
"Well Anna, your sister and I have a presentation that is due in 6 weeks
time and we had a lot of research and putting together to do!" Ross says
calming down and standing up, "I'm leaving now Rose. I'll call you to
let you know what we will be doing then. Have fun in London! Bye
Rose, Anna." Ross smiled and exited the room. Anna ran to shut the
front door and came back to the living room where I had taken a seat on the couch there.
"Nooo" I groaned into my hands. "This isn't how I wanted to break the
news into him Anna! Why?!" I asked her through my fingers.
"I'm really sorry Ross... I didn't know he was your presentation partner
or anything about a submission! I'm really sorry!"
"It's alright Anna. I'll go call him now and explain the situation in hand.
He will understand" I said with determination.

"So we okay now?" I asked Ross
"Haha Rose. We were never not okay love"
Butterflies... The only explanation that could help understand what was
happening in my stomach.
"Urmm okay Ross. I'll do my parts of the research and mail them to you
when I can. You put it into the slides and mail me the final PowerPoint?
That okay yeah?"
"Yup cool" was his cheerful reply.
We have been talking over the phone for the past forty five minutes and
finally came into the conclusion as to who has to do what.
"Come back soon Rose... I'll miss you..." he muttered the last part
hoping I wouldn't catch it. "Also Rose? Could you come outside a
moment?"
"Oh urm of course Ross. I'll be there right now." a little puzzled as to
what he had to tell, i made my way outside.
On the way mum asked where i was off to and i replied saying Ross was waiting outside for me.
"Come back in after he's done, love. And don't keep the man waiting
out for long" Giving me a knowing smile.

"Sup Ross?" I asked as i reached him. He turned around with a huge
smile on his face.
"Rose, i just wanted to ask this before you leave tomorrow. Please say
yes. Rose, i love you so much and it took me so long to realise, but i
love you and i don't know what i would do without you..."

His confession literally made my heart race and stop at the same time.

"Ross, I- I- I honestly don't know-w what to say. If i'm being completely
honest with you, i should have been the first one to confess. I have
been into you since the day i first saw you. I realised that I love you not
long after." i finally confessed.
Ross looked at me with the most
astonished expression i've ever seen him wear.
Quickly going on one knee, Ross asked;
"Rose? Will you be my
girlfriend?"
Tears welled up in my eyes as i looked at his outstretched arm and i said
"gladly ross. I'll be your girlfriend..."
I replied with earnest. This was the
question i had always dreaming about and tears filled he asked "I will Ross! I would love to!" i screeched, accepting his outstretched
hand.
Ross gently pulled me into a long hug, his scent enveloping me,
making me lose my sanity.
After a while we broke apart, my hand still in his, looking into each
others eyes. After what seemed like hours, i heard mum calling us in.
Ross took my hand to his lips and kissed the back of it, giving me
goosebumps like ive never experienced before.
"Good night my love. Sleep well and have a safe flight. Take care and
come back soon to me."
"I will Ross. Thank you for making this day one of the most memorable
days in my life."
"Bye Rose"
