“Bittersweet”
“I believe that anything is possible. I realize the odds and science are against me. But science is not the total answer; this I know, this I have learned in my lifetime. And that leaves me with the belief that miracles, no matter how inexplicable or unbelievable, are real and can occur without regard to the natural order of things. “ (The Notebook)

“Hello?”
“Hey, Scott”
"Where are you, Katherine?”
His voice scared me. There’s something wrong. I can feel it.
“I’m with Cassey. Are you okay? What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Nothing, just… Can we see each other right now? I need to talk to you.”
My heart began to pound really fast.
"Can’t you just tell me what it is right now?”
“No, no just please. Wait for me. I’m on my way.”
He left me speechless. I didn’t know what to say. I slowly hung up the phone. I didn’t know what to think and I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to know what it is but I am completely terrified. I sat beside Cassey who’s wondering what happened.
“Don’t try to hide it, Katherine Humphry. I can see it in your face that something bad happened.” Cassey said. How did she know that? She didn’t even look at me. She’s been on the computer for hours.
“I don’t know, Cassey… I can sense something. I’m really nervous right now.” I murmured, staring at the table.
Cassey nodded. She knows I should take some quiet time to think. She held my hand tightly. I smiled at her.
“Thanks, Cassey. I needed that.”
