Breaking Point [Izuku X Depressed!Reader]

Age: 15

Gender: Non-binary (i.e You guys get to choose)

Quirk: Claws - (L/N) has the ability to extend and retract nails. The nails can be extended up to five inches, anything longer would make it easier for the nails to break. They're nails secrete chemicals one is a tranquilizer, the other is a deadly poison. When the users nails break not only is it extremely painful but it also can take up to a week for their nails to grow back again. The only way to treat the users tranquilizer or poison is by consuming or injecting their DNA. The tranquilizer goes into effect immediately while the poison takes 3 days before the victim dies.

3rd POV

"Hey, (Y/N), Do you want to come to the park with us?", (Y/N) Looked up from their textbook and nearly screamed when they saw how close Uraraka was. "W-what?" "Can you come to the park with us?" They blushed deeply when Izuku spoke. "B-but we have a test, I kind of have to study" (Y/N) whispered, desperate to find an excuse not to go. "You can do it under a damn tree if you really need to study that badly, dumbass. You're going whether you like it or not." Katsuki said as he bent down. He managed to grab (Y/n)'s waist and ended up tossing them onto his shoulder like a potato sack and continued walking to the park with you squirming trying to get off his shoulder and the two cinnamon rolls following behind.

Once the whole class arrived (Y/n) greeted them all, as soon as they talked to everyone they rushed to get to a tree so they could study. While they studied the worry started to overwhelm them. Their friends started playing an extreme version of tag, (Only extreme part being they could throw rocks and use their quirks) but that wasn't what they were worried about. (Y/N) shrunk back and tried to make themself as small as possible in hopes that Alexa wouldn't drag them off somewhere.

Alas that wasn't the case, all hope of being left alone was diminished when said girl approached her. Alexa pulled (Y/N) up harshly, before yelling over to the class, "Hey guys, (Y/N) and I are gonna hang out in the woods for a bit!" The group of teenagers paid no attention to the pair, satisfying the girl. She grinned as she turned to (Y/N), "Looks like it's just you and me, hun."

Alexa went on and dragged you into the woods, she didn't stop until the two of you made it to a clearing. She pushed you into a tree, "How many times do I have to tell your slutty ass to stay the fuck away from Izuku." She growled, you could feel the tears sting your eyes as you spoke, "I-i'm sorry! I just don't w-want to make him suspicious. He'll know something i-is up if I just stop talking to him altogether.". Alexa smirked as she watched you shake underneath her gaze, "Oh what do I care. It's not like Izuku would ever like something like you." (Y/n) looked up with tear filled eyes, "I mean look at you, who would ever like a monster like you? Hell you even slit your wrist for fun. You're worthless, not to mention ugly to-" "I KNOW!" Alexa's eyes widen at your outburst. "I know! Dammit I know! b-ut it isn't my fault! I never asked to be made! I never wanted things to get this bad!" You yelled through tears "If I had never existed I'd never be" You paused and looked at your hands in shame before shouting "This!". Alexa smiled wickedly, leaning in before whispering into your ear, "Hun, this sounds like a 'you' problem. You're not depressed, you're simply an attention whore. You don't cut because you want to die, you just like the attention it gets you." She said in a sickeningly sweet tone.

Something inside (Y/n) snapped. You had reached your breaking point. You didn't want to hear any more, You couldn't. So you ran, you ran as fast as you possibly could all the way to the one place you'd be safe. Home. The minute you got to the small building you rushed in, slamming the door behind you. You managed to take a few deep breaths before collapsing onto the floor and letting out all the tears you held in.

Before long you tired out and calmed down. The feelings from earlier were gone and all you were left with is the empty numbness that comes after an emotionally exhausting day. You could feel your stomach rumble as you stood so you decided to head to the kitchen. As you ate a granola bar you found a note on the counter.

Hey honey, Dad and I had to go on a business trip. We'll be home in about three weeks, there's cash in the kitchen cabinet and the training equipment is in the basement. Be safe. We love you!

You smiled, your parents were always really busy but somehow they managed to make time for you, it was nice.

After putting the note in your box of all the other notes they've left you took a shower and fell asleep almost immediately after you laid down.
