Bella got up early to pack her bags for the trip, she didn't really have time to prepare because of what happened last night.

Hermione was still sound asleep which was probably because Charlie had decided to give the girl a few injections for the pain.

Already late, Bella quickly washes up and heads down with her packed bags.

Charlie was already in the kitchen making breakfast.

Bella felt bad he had to clean up the mess she left last night.

She shortly checks up on Hermione before heading to the kitchen to help with preparing breakfast before she left.

After eating in a hurry, Bella wishes her dad "Good Luck" kisses him on the cheek and gets her car keys from the counter.

It was silent in the living room when Hermione started waking up.

There was no one around, and her throat had gotten very dry.

Slowly opening her eyes as she weakly sat up on the couch, she was suddenly aware of three things.

She was extremely numb, She has a huge headache, and that she was very very hungry.

Quietly observing the room around her,

It was unfamiliar.

As she removed the blanket that was wrapped around her, she realizes she has been holding onto something.

She curiously looks at the long glossy object in her hand, as she stood up.

It felt familiar, somewhat important, but she didn't seem to know what it was so she puts it in her pocket for the time being.

Hermione takes a few steps into the room when her head starts hammering painfully.

Hermione squeezes her head trying to lessen the pain, with eyes watering. Suddenly she feels a wire-y feeling beneath her fingertips. It was her stitch that was at the back of her head.

It was sore, so she didn't try to touch it anymore. It took her a moment before the throbbing subsided.

Sighing in defeat. Hermione makes her way at the end of a staircase.

"Hello,"

Startled by her own voice, coughing slightly as she relaxed her parched throat.

"Is anyone there?"

Hoping someone was around.

Shortly after her call, she hears the quick shuffling of footsteps from upstairs.

After a few seconds, a man peeks down from the top of the staircase relief flooding from his eyes as he stared at Hermione.

He looked like a good enough person, was what Hermione thought as he headed down the stairs towards her.

As he reaches the last step, he suddenly seemed uncertain with what to do.

He stared worriedly at Hermione before he spoke.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, as he pointed towards her injury.

"Numb," she answered simply.

"Though it did hurt really bad for a moment before, now it's gone."

"I know you have a lot of questions." he began.

"I do too, why don't we sit for a moment to talk this through," he says, as he ushers her towards the couch.

As Hermione settles down, Charlie pulls up a chair to sit in front of her.

"So..." he starts, "First of all. Hi, my name is Charlie Swan. I'm the Chief of Police of this town."
