Sunday had passed rather quickly.
Hermione felt a lot better by then and could even walk normally.
She seems to heal rather quickly. She still had the stitches, but at least it didn't bleed or ooze out stuff anymore.
She was feeling good enough that she could help Charlie with preparing breakfast.
She was even getting used to walking around the house, and Charlie even took her shopping for some clothes.
It was fun picking out clothes, she didn't know what her usual style was. But she picked up anything that suited her necklace and of course, the weather in Forks.
After that, they even watched a movie. Bought a lot of junk food, drinks and popcorn enough for both of them.
Charlie was really spoiling her, but he couldn't help it.
Bella didn't usually like going out and doing a lot of stuff with him. She was rather introverted.
But Hermione somehow shared his enjoyment of the outdoors.
Oh! and they even bought groceries.
Hermione wasn't also sure what food she used to like, but they picked up a lot of what she wanted.
She enjoyed going out with Charlie. It had only been 2 days and he already seemed like a father to her.
Once they got home, they were still both energetic.
Putting the groceries in the fridge and cabinets, as they talked about the movie they just watched.
Charlie commented on how drained Bella probably would've been if she was dragged around with them, which made Hermione giggle at the thought.
They even played chess afterward, which really surprised Charlie that Hermione could remember how to play it.
But he got even more surprised when he learns that she had only read a book she saw in the living room about it that morning.
It was Charlie's 'Chess 101 by Dave Schloss' book that he had left on the living room.
What was more amazing was that she actually beat him without him having to teach her anything.
Soon, Charlie with eyebrows furrowed was staring at his third defeat as Hermione laughed in victory at the background.
It was really a great father-daughter day.
It was now Monday morning.
And Bella was finally coming home.
Charlie had to leave early for work because of a call about another animal attack.
Not leaving before he helped Hermione make a welcome home breakfast for Bella.
But he couldn't be there when she arrives.
So, Hermione had to meet Bella all by herself.
Knowing how courageous, and brave Hermione was... Charlie wasn't worried at all about leaving her to greet Bella.
He was actually more worried about his slightly shy clumsy daughter.
Nevertheless, he was sure they'd get along just fine.
Charlie had already called Bella yesterday and explained the whole situation to her.
Bella agreed it was the right choice to keep Hermione close till she recovers.
They both agreed on how brave Hermione is with her choice.
With Hermione blushing in the background at getting praised by Charlie as she listens in on their conversation.
with Charlie smiling warmly at her, she smiles back while looking around for more books she could read.
It's one other thing she learned about herself. She really LOVES to read.
Hermione could actually hear Bella laughing through the call when Charlie had decided to re-enact her British accent as he explained things to Bella.
Bella's laugh might be another thing she likes, she thought nonchalantly slightly biting her lower lip as she continues to skim through the books on Charlie's shelf near the T.V.
His attempts for what he thought was a legit British accent was absolutely priceless.
He even kept commenting on how good he was at it and should maybe stick with it.
Which both Hermione and Bella instantly denied.
Back to the present situation.
Charlie has already left.
Hermione had just about read every book in the house already.
Even some of Bella's school books that she had left in her room.
So she had nothing much to do but wait.
Hermione wasn't one for staying still for too long.
She remembers about the purple beaded handbag Charlie had given her the day they met.
She goes to Bella's room to retrieve it.
As she enters the room, she finds it at the corner of the bed.
It was really small but really had some weight to it when she picks it up which really confused her.
She opens it up and peeks inside and was utterly surprised by what she saw.
It was a lot bigger inside than she thought. She really didn't know how to react at the moment but she was utterly intrigued.
She slowly puts her hand in to test just how deep it was inside.
To her surprise, she could actually put her whole arm in it, and it still had more space.
Feeling around inside the bag, she could make out some of the contents inside.
There were clothes. shoes, and were those vials (?), and among other stuff that she couldn't guess, there was one more thing she could confidently make out that was inside.
A Book.
Hermione still confused and yet intrigued by what she discovered about her bag.
She slowly pulls out the bulky black book and reads the title out loud.
"Twilight."
Just then, she hears a truck outside loudly coming to a park.
Startled by the sound she accidentally drops the mysterious book inside again.
Not having enough time to think about it.
She hurriedly closes up the bag and returns it to the floor beside the bed.
Standing up, quickly checking herself in the mirror before going downstairs to greet Bella.
