Jack- "She's just a friend! how many times do I have to say it!"
Me- "I don't know, Jack! Enough times to convince me!"
I roll the window down and throw the bracelet out.
Jack- "Y/N!"
Me- "Oh sorry! Did she ask you to give it back! after you guys hooked up in the car!"
Jack- "Calm down. please. let me explain"
Me- "There's no explanation! you've been avoiding me since you two met at that party last month. my siblings have said they've seen you out in public with her and you seem to have no real explanation! and I just found her fucking bracelet in your fucking car! what else am I suppose to assume!"
Jack- "Baby. please. just listen"
He touches my face and I pull away. I look out the window and try to hide the tears that began to run down my face.
Jack- "She's been helping me"
Me- "oh is that what you call it these days"
Jack- "No stop."
He grabs my hand and and rubs it.
Jack- "She works for a jewelry store in west LA"
Me- "and"
He takes a deep breath in and gets out of the car. He looks around and picks the bracelet up from a pile of dirt.
Me- "What are you doing"
He grabs my hand and places the bracelet in my palm.
Jack- "you should've at least read the inside"
I look at him weirdly and flip the bracelet.
"you're my other half"
Me- "Jack..."
Jack- "put it on"
He helps me adjust it and it fits perfectly. We kiss and drive back to our apartment.
Me- "I'm gonna make some red rice and tacos okay?"
Jack- "sounds good"
He shuts the door and I head to the kitchen.
Jack- "I'm gonna go change into some comfier clothes"
Me- "Hurry. i'm gonna need help"
He rushes upstairs and I start getting things ready to cook. I hear a vibration and check my phone, but saw nothing. I look over towards the couch and see Jacks phone lit up.
I glance at it and see a message from someone with a heart as the contact name.
"hey babe. think my bracelet fell off in your car last night. might wanna find it before your girlfriend does (;"
I knew it. all I could say in my head was I knew it. I was feeling so much anger. I ripped the bracelet off of me and chucked it at the wall as well as his phone.
Jack came running down the stairs and touched my arm.
Jack- "Baby what's wrong"
Me- "You lied! god I actually believed you!"
Jack- "what do you mean?"
Me- "Don't play dumb! that bracelet wasn't for me! it was hers! I was right! i'm so fucking stupid!"
Jack- "Baby"
Me- "Stop calling me that! get out! now!"
Tears start to form in his eyes and he tried to grab my hand. I quickly pull away and sit on the couch.
Me- "Why?"
Jack- "I'm sorry. I've just been so down"
Me- "Then talk to me! tell me how you're feeling! don't go out and fucking cheat on me!"
Jack- "I didn't mean to hurt you, y/n. please i'm sorry."
Me- "You should leave"
Jack- "y/n. i'm sorry"
Me- "I don't care if you're sorry! I don't care how upset you are! You hurt me! I can never trust you again!"
He stays silent and takes a few steps towards me.
Me- "Don't. please just go."
Jack- "y/n..."
Me- "I said go! get the fuck out!"
He walks out of the house and slams the door. I hear his car start and speed off.
I glance at the door and see the bracelet on the floor.
"you're my other half"
I guess I wasn't Jacks.
