17TH OF OCTOBER 2025
"Lando you are literally the worst father ever I can not," Ana mumbles pinching the bridge of her nose. Only Lando Norris would miss his flight back home meaning that he'd have to miss out on his son's birthday which Ana had worked hard to make sure that everyone would be able to attend with their busy timetables.
"Babe I know! I forgot to set an alarm and when I arrived at Heathrow it was already too late. The plane had started boarding and they were almost ready to takeoff," Lando says. He plays with his wedding band and looks out at the skyline of Perth.
Lando hadn't seen his wife of five years for a good two weeks. He had been flying all over the world for McLaren and it didn't help that his home was ages away from England. Nor did it help that the previous weekend was a race weekend meaning that he couldn't go home just yet.
"In that case then I expect you to bring home loads of presents for Jules, Brody and myself," Ana orders looking at her two children that were sat on the dinner table colouring in. They were the pride and joy of her life. "Maybe some for the uncles as well."
Lando chuckles, "I don't have room much room in my suitcase love."
"Well make some Lando! Jules is turning five tomorrow and you're not even going to be here," Lando sighed doubting his surprise. Maybe he should go home now. "Let's talk about this when you get back. I love you."
"I love you too Ana Ricciardo. So much."
"It's Ana Norris now Lando. I've been Ana Norris for a good five years." Lando laughs. He'd always forget that he was married to a Ricciardo that now shared the same last name as him.
"Yeah I forget babe."
"No shit you do. You're old!" Ana said making Lando burst out in laughter. "God I love you."

The next morning soon rolled round and the Brit was already in a car making his way home. He knew that Jules's party didn't start until twelve so he had plenty of time to chill beforehand.
The drive home was quick. Quicker than Lando thought.
He stood outside of his house. It wasn't terribly far from the city. In fact it was right across the river and they had a perfect view of the Perth skyline.
Lando took a shaky breath, knocking on the wooden door. He could hear the giggles of Brody and Jules echoing throughout the house. Suddenly his nerves skyrocketed. "Coming!" He heard, the sound of multiple footsteps approaching the door.
"Daniel I thought I told you the party was-"
"Lando!"
"Daddy!" His family screamed out at him. Within matters the British driver was engulfed by Ana, Brody and Jules.
"G-Guys," Lando mumbled. "I can't breath."
Ana scoffed hugging her husband even tighter. "Does it look like we care?" Lando shook his head, dropping the flowers and returned his wife's hug before reaching down and scooping his kids into his arms.
"Surprise! Dad's home!" He said making Brody giggle while Jules stared up at her father, a grin on her face.
"We really missed you daddy," Brody says hugging his dad tighter. Lando sighed, walking inside the house with his wife. "I know love but I'm here now. And Jules," Lando exclaims putting his kids down.
"Happy Birthday!"
