"Well, I want to do India!" Sarah agues crossing her arms. "Everyone is going to do India so let's pick somewhere better" Jake smirks enjoying her furrowed eyebrows. "You keep saying that but not suggesting anything do you just like to hear yourself talk?" she retorts. I did agree that India was too easy but if Sarah wants to do it I rather side with her. "Yeah, I think India is a good choice, we can't spend all our time arguing" I say breaking the tension. "Yeah, I'm down with India and that's majority vote so..." Evan says glancing at Jake. "I guess, whatever" Jake replies annoyed.

"Well, since we decided I'll bring out the snacks" Sarah says leaving the living room. I was the last to get to Sarah's house since I woke up a little late. It's nice to be in such a big house. I knew she lived in the "rich" neighborhood but I didn't know that it was as extravagant as everyone says it is. The living room was so huge it probably was the size of half my house. All the couches were fancy and I almost didn't sit on the couch. "I'll go help her" Jake says following her out.

"Hey, are we still on for tonight?" Evan asks referring to the party. Honestly, I cant wait to just get a beer. I feel like I need to just take it easy. "Yeah, why? You're not getting cold feet are you?" I joke.

"No! I'm a little nervous but I'm also excited to meet new people." he says with a nervous chuckle. "Trust me, I think you'll be quite popular. Being you're new to this school and aren't a sour for eyes." I laugh. "Really? I hope you're right" he says scratching the back of he's head. Speaking of the party, I need to make sure I don't drink much or too fast. I am a light weight unlike my dad, but I can't turn down free booze.

"-someone?" Evan whispers. "Huh?" I question. "Do you like someone? I didn't want them to hear." he replies whispering. Do I like anyone? I think that question is asked too often in our world. "No I don't, why?" I asked but Jake and Sarah walk in with plates of fruit.

"So should we get to work?" Sarah asks as she sits down. "Yes" Evan and I say in unison. We began to research abut India and I ponder about what Evan asked. I don't like anyone but after what happened with Jake I can't fall to easily in love as before. Just because they look nice doesn't mean that they are and I need to remember this. Be smart don't move into things too fast. Stay calm. I mean what's the rush?

I hold my breath. Maybe for too long. I hold in every insecurity and every doubt that came across my mind. I wish it would stop. Everything. I want everything to stop.

The words coming out of your mouth. The pain that resonates in me. The beating of my heart. I just want everything to stop. Even for just for a moment. A second.

It becomes harder and harder. My lips are almost impossible to keep shut. I give in and open my mouth, the air rushing out. I sigh afterwards. I wish I held it a second longer. Just a second longer.

"Hey!" I'm pulled out of myself. Evan walks towards me and I wave. "You ready?" I ask masking my face with a smile. "Yeah! Yes? I don't know. Do I look okay?" "Yeah you look fine, just act normal and you'll be fine." I say observing his outfit. Black jeans, regular T-shirt, black boots. Practically the same thing I'm wearing plus what most of the people going to the party are wearing. "Also don't be surprise if someone is wearing a costume because that's just a freshmen being pranked.

He chuckles in response. "Oh, you think I'm joking?" I quirk my eyebrow. "Well you're in for a surprise." I laugh. "So how are we gonna get there?" he asks shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Okay, don't judge me too hard alright?" I say walking towards the back of the house. "I won't." he says following me. I walk over to my baby hidden under a sheet. I pull the sheet to reveal an old and I mean OLD puck up truck.
