Authors note: This will be the last new character for a while so you should know the drill.

I am the new face of the group now. My name is Kazuhiko Aoto. Kaz for short. My birthday has just recently passed. I turned nineteen years old. That's all that's needed to be known about me. So how about I tell more about my past and why I am in the group. I definitely wasn't one of the original ones that escaped. So it is safe to assume I have been living outside the walls of New Haven this entire time.

Why I have been living outside the walls not inside is easy to explain. The day the meteor struck I was assigned to rocket 674. Which was also known as 'Space Breaker' seeing as it would be the first rocket to launch and take off. Coincidentally enough, it was also the same rocket that took off and got hit. I guess in a way, I was lucky. That day I was running a little behind schedule. I had to go down to my basement and retrieve something last minute. It was a baseball signed by a famous batter my grandfather seen hit the final home run when he was just a kid, a family heirloom.

I had just grabbed the bat when I heard a big boom and ran up to the small bay window of the basement. Then nothing my memory blacks from there. The next thing I remember is waking up under some planks of wood. I was at first trying to get out from under them but then I heard helicopters. Something was telling me to stay hidden if I knew what was best for me. I saw them inject a girl with some weird glowing liquid. If I didn't want to wind up like her I felt it was best to stay hidden. I would wait for them to leave and then dig myself out.

When I woke up I was laying on Eddy's shoulder

When I woke up I was laying on Eddy's shoulder. The tires screeching must have been the jeep stopping and him switching spots with kes upon noticing I passed out again. I looked out the window as I sat up and noticed we were arriving into a ruined city. A few buildings had already collapsed. While the others were fully erect still just over taken by vines and other various plants. I looked at my reflection in the window to notice the veins in my face were glowing orange. I slightly unzipped my jacket to look at my throat. The veins in it was glowing as well but the feeling in my throat was extremely painful. It felt as though I was trying to swallow burning hot embers.

I looked over at Eddy to see his eyes were closed as he leaned against the other door. Was he sleeping? I then looked at Kes who looked like a statue. He remained silent his eyes locked outside to the passing buildings. The jeep pulled into the parking garage of a building. An almost intact skyscraper to be exact. The woman shut the motor off and everything was silent. Eddy's eyes were now open and it was as though they were never closed. Kes opened his door grabbing his bag and leaping out of his seat. Eddy then did the same.

As Kes stared at the walls looking around, Eddy helped me from my spot in the vehicle. Finally with the burning sensation gone I looked at Kes and asked, "what is he doing?" Eddy who finally removed his hands from my hips and grabbed my bag handing it to me looked over at him. "Hes mentally downloading the buildings blueprints." The woman who only got out of the jeep to help Eddy unload supplies, was silent the entire time. Once everything was unloaded she hopped back into the drivers seat, started the vehicle, gave Eddy a small salute then took off. Eddy walked up behind Kes putting his hand on Kes' shoulder. "Is it safe Motherboard?" Eddy smirks directing this question to Kes. Kes turns his face unamused towards him. "Don't call me that, and yes it's safe." Eddy nods then start walking further into the building. "Come on slow pokes." He yelled back. Me and Kes looked at eachother than began to follow Eddy up a winding Stair case.

When we had only made it half way up I could barely stand. I wobbled abit then Eddy held onto me. He must have been scared I would fall down the and he'd lose his most valuable weapon. "I don't need you to hold on to me I'm not a toddler learning to walk. I can walk on my own!" I yanked my arm away and stormed up the stairs. He looked at Kes confused. Kes shrugged then smiled at his failed attempts to be nice then followed behind me. When we reached the top my legs finally gave out and I fell back and hit a door-busting it down. A low growl could be heard. I look up still laying on the door and there stood a creature no more than six feet away from me. Its eyes glow red in the darkroom. It's fur was black and matted from dried blood with what i could see with the little light that crept in. Foam seeped out from its mouth. The liquid dripped to the floor. As it continued to growl it had began bear its yellow stained sharp teeth.

I laid there not moving, being as still as possible. Not because I was scared, but because I remembered from the classes that I was forced to take what this creature was, I knew that this creature without a doubt was a hell hound. Any sudden movement and my throat would be in its mouth. I motioned for Eddy and Kes to stay still and not provoke it as carefully and slowly as I possibly could. Eddy's hand slowly reached for a pistol on his hip. I shook my head signifying not to draw and fire the weapon. Eddy, of course, disobeyed me and instantly fired upon the creature.

I was getting ready to flee knowing nothing in that pistol would have any sort of affect on this thing. I turned to run out of the room when I heard the creature whine in pain. I whipped around to see what could have possibly made the creature stop. There was an arrow now lodged into its right eye. It shook its head and ran off crashing through a window allowing more light to stream in. A boy with ember eyes walked out from the shadows and into the light. "Damn what was with all these male's being so fucking hot?" I thought to myself. A slight smile pulls at the boys' lips. "Well hello," his voice was sweet and melodic. Eddy being cautious and instantly grabbed me by my waist and pulling me behind him.

I was now glancing at the boy from behind Eddy, who had his arm stretched out to keep the distance. The boy let out a sigh, it was a sorrowful yet relieved sigh. "No need to be afraid. My name is Kazuhiko, but you can call me Kaz for short". Eddy kept his eyes locked on him. His arm stretched out as though he was protecting a prized jewel. That was all I am to him anyways. I'm not Human, I was a weapon, and this boy jeopardized his control for power.
