It Started With A Dare

We have been standing out here for about thirty minutes now. You guys might be thinking I can just tell him why I kissed him and move on right? Wrong. The thing about Ashton is he doesn't let things go.

I've known Ashton since first grade and nothing has changed. He's still a player but he has got meaner and ruder. Maybe because he's not a little kid anymore but you can't always blame it on age.

Believe it or not but me and Ashton were friends for a long time intill seventh grade. He got popular and I got...well me. The day he left me is the day I've notice how horrible he was.

He didn't care about anyone but himself and he was selfish. I couldn't stand being around him and thankfully he didn't notice me anymore.

"I'm going to ask this one more time and this time you're going to answer me. Why did you kiss me?" He asked while getting up off the ground and moving closer to me.

"Is it really that big of a deal. I kissed you because it was a dare. Happy now? Now can I please go back inside I've already missed most of fifth period?" I said while sliding down the door and putting my head in my lap.

He didn't say anything for a while. After what felt like ten minutes of silence I picked my head up to look at him, but he wasn't there. Instead he was opening the door for me while keeping quiet.

"Thank you." I said while getting up and walking into the building.

I was about to turn around and ask Ashton why he was so quiet because if you didn't know everything is about him so when is he not talking. Anyways right when I was about to turn around he grabbed my rist and pulled me close to him so our noses were touching.

"Ashton what are you doing?" I asked while getting nervous. I don't know why but being this close to him really makes my mind do some things.

Stupid mind!

"Ew you say my name really weird. Just call me Ash." Even though I'm honored to be granted with the privilege of calling him Ash it reminds me of when we were friends and that's longggg ago.

"Okay "Ash", what are you doing?" "Oh yea." He let go of me and I took atleast fifty steps back.

"Um...I just wanted to say sorry for..you know...leaving you in seventh grade. Things got hard and I did what I had to do." He said while scratching the back of his neck.

"Okay so call me crazy but did Ashton Knight just apologize to me?" I said while gasping and acting surprised.

"He ha very funny. Let's just not talk about this, I've got a reputation to maintain." "Mhm secrets safe with me."

He just smiled at me and ran to class because sixth period bell just rung. I started to run too because after skipping fifth period showing up late to sixth period isn't really a good look.

Once I got to class I saw Diamond so I decided to talk to her but once I got closer I saw she was talking to... a guy?

"Oh Lani hey, this is Xavier, X this is Alania." Diamond said while smiling and pulling my arm down so I had to sit next to her.

"Um..hi, anyways you will not believe what just happened to me." I said while looking Xavier up and down and then smiling big at Diamond.

Xavier started to look at me with one eyebrow up but then started smiling. "Wait, you kissed Ash right?"

"Oh um...yea but that's not important. Are you guys friends or some?" Diamond was looking confused at this point but since she wasn't at Ash's table she wouldn't understand.
