With that, the passage ended and I closed the tab as quickly as possible. I looked over at him and straight into the eyes that still felt the pain.
"Mozes..."
"Yes?"
I didn't reply but I stared into his eyes.
"Do I need to pull over? Are you okay?"
"Can I... see your arms?"

"Jaymes, I'm driving."
"Can you pull over?"
"I know what you're doing."
"I want to know..."
"And you'll risk your job?"
I looked away from his eyes and slumped into my chair.
"Sorry..."
"I accept your apology. That's far into somebody's comfort zone and it's not appropriate to suddenly ask about it."
Mozes' phone rang and he quickly picked it up, putting it to his ear.

"Mozes." He greeted. "No. Do not let Aria get far. Along with Devin. They're crucial parts of this whole project."... "Yes. Thank you for the information. If you'll excuse me, I'm busy right now." He hung up and aggressively placed his phone down.
"Dinner will be another time. I have something I need you to see." He got off on an exit while I sat there thinking maybe he'd show his arms.
But no. He turned around and parked at a college.

"Why are we here?" I asked and looked around.
"This is where a lot of my research happens. I think you'll be able to benefit from seeing it for yourself. Maybe give you ideas."
"So you're spying on college students..." I teased.
"No! Of course not! Just watching how they use their everyday devices." We got out of the car and walked through the entrance. We stopped by the fountain and took a seat against the edge.

"Look straight down the middle and to the left. That girl in the red shirt?"
"Her? Yeah, I know her."
"You know her?"
"Yeah. Chances are, she'll come over here any second."
The girl stood up and ran over to me.
"Jay! I haven't seen you in forever!"
"Sarah! I didn't know you switched colleges..."
"Yeah! After you left, it was getting tough to deal with the people. What are you doing here?"
"Work. What are you doing?"
"Oh! Somebody recommended Figurine to me so I bought it and now I'm trying it out..."
I saw Mozes's eyes light up right beside me.
"What are your thoughts?" I smiled.

"It's honestly way more helpful than I could have ever known. But there's one thing that's been driving me insane. There's no power save mode. I notice other people complaining about it too."
I elbowed Mozes and he wrote it down in his phone.
"Who's this? A boyfriend?" She pointed.
"Eh? My manager." I corrected
"He looks familiar." Sarah rubbed her chin and stared closer.
"I'm Mozes. The founder and CEO of figurine..."
"Oh." She said and looked at him even closer. "Nice to meet you." She shook his hand and skipped away.

"Who...?"
"Doesn't matter. She gave you an idea."
"You're right. Let's head back before I forget."
"You wrote it down."
"I'll forget I wrote it down."
"You're hopeless.." I chuckled.
We got back in the car and drove all the way back to the building. We arrived and ran up to Mozes' office.

"What was it again?"
"You were serious about forgetting? A power save mode!"
"Oh yeah!" He quickly started typing in his computer.
Bora walked in and watched us work on the new feature.
"You can talk trash about him right now and I bet you he won't hear you."
"Is he that into work?"
"Look at him." Bora pointed. I looked over and chuckled a little bit.

"Anyways, I wanted to tell you that you're really doing something to Mozes. He hasn't been this awake in ages."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I think he's just so caught up in work that he doesn't notice how cold he is to everybody. Not to mention, he hasn't laughed or smiled in a really long time.
"Seriously? I've seen him laugh and smile."
"That's what I'm saying. I think he's brought you up in every conversation so far."
"What even..." I sat in one of his couches.
"I know, right?"
"Huh..."
