I was just about to answer, when my phone starts to ring.

I look at Regina, apologizing, before grabbing my phone.

No caller ID.

"Hello?" I ask whoever the other person is.

First I only hear weird noises until an unknown voice starts talking.
"I told you I'd always haunt you, little brat. Try to Hide as long as you want but you'll never be safe." Then they hung up.

I just stare at my phone in shock. Thinking about it, the voice seemed familiar but the noises were too loud to recognize it.

I jump slightly as I feel a soft hand grab my upper arm.

"Emma? Who was it? You look pale."

"I- I don't know. The voice seemed familiar but I couldn't recognize it. They told me to try to hide but I'll never be safe. They'll always haunt me." I am we're still staring into nothing.

"Wha-"

Suddenly there was a loud noise coming from upstairs,causing both of us to nearly jump out of our own skin. It sounded as if someone would bump into a big object.

"What was that?" Regina whispers. I shrug and stand up to look myself.

I walk around the couch and to the stairs. I'm about to step onto it as the brunette starts to follow me.
As we continue walking Upstairs, I sniffle smoke. Weird. All the electronics in the kitchen are turned off and none of my family smokes. Besides, it's only Regina and me in here. I'm only a few seconds the smoke became more. I look behind me to see my teacher staring at what appears to be my bedroom door. I follow her gaze and see what she was fixed upon.

My eyes widen in horror.

My bedroom door stands open and everywhere is fire.

"Fuck!" I scream and tun into the bathroom to fill a bucket with water.

But the bathroom was locked. I grab the doorknob and pull as strong a side can but nothing happens. I panic even more and start to shake in fear.

"Shit Emma we have to get out of here!" I hear a strong voice from behind me. Before I can react, the other women grabs my hand and drags me all the way to the front door again.

Once we are out She Sets me onto a bank while calling the firefighters.
I don't listen to her talking and just concentrate on what just happened.

My home, the only one I ever really had, is on fire. Someone I seem to know from the past threatened me. I don't know where to go since my parents are not home.

My parents!

I have to call them!

I quickly grab my phone to all them but it's battery is dead. Ugh!

After a solid 5 minutes the firefighters arrived as well as the police. While they erased the fire, the two police men started asking me and Regina some basic questions. Regina mostly answered given me being in shock still.

"I think that should be all. Well try out best to find the person that did this. Where will you stay miss Swan? Your parents are on a business trip, right?" I snap out of my thoughts and look at him.

"I- euh...I don't know. I don't really have friends here or other family members." I look down.

The police men opens his mouth but gets cut off by Regina saying:

"She'll stay with me"

Both of us whip our hands into her direction. What did she just say?!

"What?" We both ask at the same time.

"Well I'm basically her babysitter for the next 3 weeks anyways and my house is big enough. I'd rather have her stay with me where I know she's safe than with anyone she has an even worse connection to." She simply explains. Well thats generous. I honestly didn't expect her to say this. Not that I have anything against it, it's the complete opposite.

The police men nods and turns to me with a questioning look.
Knowing the question, i just shrug and say "I don't mind."

"Very well then. I'll let you know if we find anything. You two call if you happen to remember anything else." With that he nods as if to say goodbye and heads off, leaving my new roommate and me alone.

Regina clears her throat "Shall we?" I offer her a smile and nod "We shall"
