Chapter 3- Ava Adesina

Monday 6th June 2245, 6:30

"Ugh" I groaned as my alarm blared in my ear. I'm not sure what time I got to bed, but I can't have slept for more than 3 hours. I was talking to Clara via hologram nearly all night, and don't get me wrong, I love her, but that girl just doesn't shut up.

  I forced myself out of bed and stared at myself in the mirror. I ran my hands through my hair, caked on some makeup and brushed my teeth. Then I got dressed and helped my brothers get ready too. They're only 4 and 6 so they're a right pain, but they're adorable. I made them breakfast and we all got in my car. 

  By the time we had gotten to school it was 7:45, which meant that I could go to the library for a bit. I browsed the books for a while and then headed off to class to wait around for Clara. She's nearly always late for class, even though she only lives half a mile or so away.

  When she finally arrived, she looked extremely out of breath. I chuckled and she sat down in front of me and spun her body around to face me. 

"You look dreadful!" I laughed.

"Thanks!" She smiled sarcastically.  Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone walk in the door. I looked up. It was Zack Takahashi. His face was pink from crying and his hands were bleeding. He had a dark purple bruise forming around one eye and he was looking around worriedly. When he saw me, he grinned and I gave him a sympathetic smile. 

"Pssst, Clara!" I hissed through clenched teeth.

She looked around and her mouth fell open, "Oh, crap." 

The rest of the class burst into laughter. Zack sat down and rested his head on the desk. He's constantly getting bullied, but this was getting out of hand, and nobody even cared. I pushed back my chair and stood up. "SHUT UP!" 

Everyone stopped laughing. 

"I'm gonna find that son of a..." 

Clara grabbed my arm. "Ava, please-"

"No, Clara. Someone needs to teach Finn a lesson."
