Chapter 8

Josh's p.o.v
Talking with Emma this past half hour has really showed me what Drayke is like. A lot. And I just don't get it, he always puts it out there how girls keep fucking him over and that he can never find love or never be happy yet- he has everything he can ever want right in front of him and he's tossing her to the side, don't get me wrong. Emma's gorgeous and an above all wonderfull girl who we all know would make the most perfect girlfriend but I had someone else who clouded my head-
Besides the point. Drayke was making a big mistake, Emma's small hands pushed against my chest snapping me out of my thoughts- "now that I've got you back, I also on accident didn't mean to at all don't know what I was thinking honest to god! Might have kissed Payton-" she kissed Payton? What the fuck "Emma what-why?" "I don't know! It just happened ugh, I don't have feelings for him I was just so upset at Drayke and I guess we had a little moment ugh what do I do?" She whined throwing her head back on the pillow. "Does Drayke know?" I questioned. She scoffed and ran her fingers through her hair. "Boy does he ever, I told him earlier and he's giving me the silent treatment which I don't deserve what so ever!" She defended herself, I nodded in agreement because I get it it's a lot. "Andddd I had a thing for Anthony but I don't know where that stands because of Drayke, well me and Hannah talked and she told me to give it till the end of playlist but my feelings for Drayke grew so much stronger then I had Intended them too. Now I'm stuck, and I feel so lost. Please josh please help me I don't know what to do" she began to break out into sobs near the end, so I quickly embraced her into a hug letting her break down in my arms- not even caring about my shirt getting soaked in her tears. She was worth it, she was worth everything

A few minutes have passed and her crying has calmed down and she was silent. I assumed she had fell asleep from exhaustion so I decided to carefully lay her on the bed and pull the cover of her and as soon as I was down my phone vibrated in my back pocket. I reached and pulled it out surprised as to who had texted me.

Anthony: are you with Emma? Can you please call me.
It was weird. Me and Anthony are 'friends' but not close
Me: yeah I'm with her one sec I'll go to the bathroom to call you, she's sleeping.
And with that I took off to the bathroom in my hotel room and dialled his number after two rings he answered.
"Hey" I said
'Hey, so you're probably wondering why I called and to be honest I kinda want to be nosey but I need to know- has Emma talked about me, like at all? Because I can't get her out of my god damn head.' Anthony pleaded. I couldn't help but feel for him and to be honest I would want Emma to end up with him more than Drayke. But that decision isn't up to me, if Emma would look at it in a Different perspective she would take a chance on Anthony.
"Are you still there?"
"Oh yeah- sorry I'm just thinking. I'm gonna go try to wake her up and talk some sense into her. Man you don't understand how much this is hurting me, she's my best friend- my other half, and I want her to be happy and I know you'd do that and beyond for her. She's just so caught up I'm Drayke and I'm just ugh. I don't want to decide for her but she listens to my advice so hopefully she takes a chance on you."
The phone is silent for a few seconds but I could tell he was smiling.
"Josh bro, you don't understand how much that means to me I'm completely head over heals for her and I just want her to be happy- it's all I want" he finished
"I know. I'm gonna go talk to her, I'll be talking to you" he said goodbye and I hung up and stuffed my phone in my pocket as I went to turn around and open the door, the door was already open and Emma was in the doorway staring at me confused, "who was that" she said lightly staring in my eyes "Anthony." I replied trying to read her facial expression, "he-he likes me" she said confused. Furrowing her eyebrows together I nodded "he does, a lot. And I know this is hard for you I know how much you put in to Drayke after everything that's happened with Malcom but please- Emma, you know Drayke is just going to hurt you and I know it too-" I said taking a step towards her as her eyes fill with tears. "And I ask know how much you mean to Anthony-so can you just please, take a chance on him? Just go on a date or something? For me?" I said hopefully she looked up at me and I could tell she was thinking about, a smile took over her lips "I mean- he is cute" she giggled causing me to smile. "Thank you thank you thank you Emma!" I said picking her up and spinning her around "well you know, anything for you" she said bopping my nose.
I really hope Anthony doesn't mess this up.

I'm so sorry for my shitty update 'schedule' I'll work out a weekly one:) but anyways. I went to the beach today and was literally in the sun for 5 minutes and my legs are literally burnt to a crisp, and since I work so much in the summer time this is my first sunburn in like 3 years😂 so pray for me bc I'm not used to it
