Blue skies covered the Bloody Knight pack, the air was still warm and the sun still beat down ferociously at the ground.

Earlier that morning and up until now, Shownu had been training his elites ready for any unprovoked attack. Mingyu and Changkyun, both elites, had been sent to interrogate Jooheon and Jongup, traitors of the White Hope and Bloody Knight packs. And now- both Yoo Kihyun and Jung Daehyun were busy doing nothing under the late day sun, after spending the morning drinking tea down in the pack village with Hyungwon and Minhyuk.

"That's a bird"

"That's not a bird Daehyun"

"Kihyun, I swear to god it's a bird!"

"You're lying Jung Daehyun. There's no bir- oh, there's a bird"

"SEE! I TOLD YOU! You need glasses I swear to god"

Kihyun and Daehyun exchanged well missed laughter and jokes between each other as they lay on their backs on the borderline, staring up at the endless sky. They'd both been shocked by the turn of good weather, Kihyun sword the last time it had been this sunny it was when he first met one of his best friends, who he was now sat beside arguing over a small speck in the sky that had turned out to be a small bird dancing away into the distance.

"What the bloody hell are you two doing?"

Both men jumped as a shadow appeared over them, Yoo Youngjae's smiling face stared down at the pair as they waved their arms about ferociously trying to make him move to unblock the sun.

"Hey bro, hey babe" Youngjae sarcastically said as he sat down besides Daehyun (not too gracefully as he practically threw himself down) before lying backwards to join in with watching the sky above them.

"How come you're back early? I thought Hyunwoo was keeping you training all day" Kihyun spoke aimed at his brother.

"The weathers got to warm to train in full gear. A lot of the Elites are feeling it so he's let us go early" Youngjae spoke, a hint of agonising relief in his voice as he pulled his jacket off and slung it next to him on the ground.

"There's got to be a catch there" Daehyun said softly, his thoughts drifting with the clouds above them.

"Night training next week" Youngjae added, Daehyun tilted his head to the side and shot Youngjae a weird look.

"We're not here next week" Daehyun said, more confused than ever.

"Exactly" when Youngjae started to smirk, Daehyun soon realised his mate had got out of training full stop during their stay at Kihyun's pack.

"Youngjae!" Daehyun slapped his arm, the younger started laughing uncontrollably before he started having a fit of coughing instead. Daehyun just shook his head, Kihyun stifled a laugh at his brother and best friend. They were made for each other.

"Well at least he's trained hard today" a deeper voice made the trio almost jump up again from their peaceful spot. This time the presence of an Alpha kept them glued to the floor as Shownu stared down at them.

"Hi dear" Kihyun spoke contently, the Alpha also surprisingly got down and sat next to Kihyun.

"Hello love, hello Youngjae, Daehyun" He spoke, looking over the three with a small smile on his face.
