Remember what I said in the first chapter about going crazy without sleep? Yes, I'm finally getting back to that (Liam: I bet you didn't realise you went through a whole chapter without explaining about that. Ling: (smiling too sweetly, with a sword in hand) Where would you like me to stab? The heart, or the heart or maybe the heart? Liam: Wait, I'm the main character of this book remember??? Ling: (staring at Liam for the longest time and then keeping the sword) I'll keep you alive for now). I had been confined in bed for the past week. There really isn't anything worth mentioning. The cycle goes by me waking up, eating breakfast, thinking, talking to Lisa (the girl that scream for the doctor in the previous chapter. She's my current body's personal maid), eating lunch, talking some more, thinking some more, eating dinner, thinking even more and then sleeping. I'm pretty amazed that this body did not gain extra fats.

As mentioned before, I was trying to devise a plan to get back to my body. Therefore, I had diligently spent all my spare time either thinking of a solution or getting useful information from Lisa (Liam: In order to win, one needs to be familiarised with their surrounding (fist pump)! Ling: Are you sure you aren't just slacking and gossiping? Liam: No, of cos not... (looking away)). I was lucky that the doctor gave the perfect reason for me to fake post-traumatic amnesia.

I had previously believed I was dealing with one issue, getting back to my body. Now, I realised that would be the least of my concern. Looking at the cliff in front of me with white clouds all around, even having a rainbow that seems near enough to touch; it was like a scenery right out of a book.... WHAT THE HELL, IT IS RIGHT OUT OF A BOOK!! CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW AND WHY AM I IN "DARKNESS IN LIGHT"??! (Ling: (nodding head) Hysteria right there. Liam: Josh, bit her! Josh: Can't do that, this story would die without her. Ling: Wahaha, you're never get me, Liam! Good job, Josh. Liam and Josh: ....).

Anyway, I had been pretty certain that Lisa was not quite in her right mind when she told me that I am Liam Lingering, the fifth son of Stephen Lingering (Liam: Seriously, Lingering? Ling: I apologise for having no talent when it comes to giving names). I mean, no one is gonna believe someone when they say you are a character in the book you just read. Let alone a villain of the book you just read.

Unfortunately, looking over this stupid cliff I was forced to accept the fact that I have indeed, somehow been teleported into "Darkness in Light", the book I stayed up three whole nights to finish just before that stupid fall (I blame the Nintendo DS Lite). Either that, or I have completely gone haywire in my head. The cliff I am currently looking over is called "The Lingering Cliff". You can guess where the name came from, the Lingering family that has been living here for centuries. I am currently Liam Lingering, the youngest member of the Lingering family.

I had been staring over the cliff for who knows how long. I can't even bring myself to think about my current predicament. The only thing I found comforting is being able to at least retain my original name.

"Young master, would you like more juice and snacks?" (Ling: (LOL) Aren't you all upset and everything? You're still in the mood for juice and snacks? Liam: Nobody says you can't be upset with juice and snacks!!)

"No, thank you. I'll go back to my room now." The sky looks gloomy, rain might be near. (Ling: You actually paid attention to the weather? Liam: Nobody says you can't pay attention to the weather when you're sad! In fact, it's important to be attentive to prevent getting sick (stares proudly at Ling). Ling: ... Fine.). Tom followed me back to my room and I was greeted by Lisa.

"I need to be alone for a while." I told the both of them. "Yes, young master. We'll be right outside the room. Call if you need us." "Oh, young master, I have prepared hot tea. Please have some to warm yourself up. We will let you know when it's time for dinner," Lisa added. "Thank you," I replied.
