Emma set in the backyard reading a book, enjoying the Sunlight. She didn't even notice the footsteps behind her. But she jumped a little when a Hand rested on her sholder.
"Laural!"
"Sorry, didn't want to scare you."
She sat down next to her sister and smiled at her. Uncerten Emma looked at Laurel.
"What?"
"Thayer is coming over", Laurel said still smiling.
"And? I thought your little crush was over."
"Oh it's not me I am excited for. You and him have been hanging out a lot lately."
Emma closed her book. Crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"Laurel. Stop it. Thayer has been with Sutten. Our sister!"
Laurel sighed.
"I know. And if I may remind you. I have known her better then you did and she would have want you to be happy and Thayer as well."
"That does not mean I have to be together with Thayer!"
Emma knew the Story between Thayer and Sutten. Thayer seemed to be truly in love with her. And Sutten definitely loved him. She did feel an attraction to him. But history could not be changed.
"I know. What I am trying to say is that if this should be the only reason you are not together than it is not a good one. I have been friends with Thayer since forever and I am so glad Glas to see him being happy again after his loss."
Emma did not answer Laurels little speech for two reasons. First because she did not know what to reply, other then that she would really like to talk to Sutten and secondly because the doorbell rang.
"We need to live our lives Emma. That is what Sutten would have want wanted us to do. Show the world that we live."
With those words Laurel was on her feet, leafing Emma alone with her thoughts. But just for a few seconds.
