Max's POV

-------------------------------------------------------

''Gods. What do you want, Loki?'' I asked.

Loki smirked, pushing past me into the room. ''Nice room, Max. Where'd ya get it?'' Loki asked, his voice mimiking mine.

"Loki.'' I snarled. ''What. Do. You. Want. From. Me.''

"A small favor. Nothing big, though.'' He replied, messing around with the seashell wind chime.

"Like what.'' I grumbled. ''Give me information about the Avengers, that's all.'' Loki replied.

I laughed.

Why, Mr. Odinson?'' I asked, smirking, "Can't get it yourself?"

''Reasons. Now, yes or no?'' He asked, turning to face me.

"No.'' I said.

"Have it that way, then.'' Loki said, as he snapped.

I was instantly on the ground, my hands and ankles bound with metal twined rope.

I winced in pain. It felt.... Real?

"Yes or no.'' Loki asked again.

"No, did I stutter?'' I replied.

The wire tightened around my wrists and ankles as I let out a gasp of pain.

They kept tightening. I could feel the metal digging into my skin, loose strands of the metal, my blood slowly dripping from the deepening wounds.

It felt it would never end, until I heard a clap of thunder.

"Shit.'' I heard Loki mutter. ''We have a deal, Miss Newtower.'' He said, disappearing.

The chains disappeared, but I still had painful cuts and wounds from them.

I heard knocking on the door, banging now. Pounding. Yelling. I crumpled to the ground, passing out

Tony's POV

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I told J.A.R.V.I.S to open Max's door.

"Sir, I'm afraid I have been told by a source to not let anyone in.'' J.A.R.V.I.S replied. (You are not very helpful, Jarvis.)

I grumbled. ''Open it, Jarvis.'' I said.

The door opened, and I saw Max crumpled on the ground in a puddle of blood.

"Shit!'' I yelled. Nat looked horrified, as Steve just stood there, frozen.

"Let's get her to the healing bay, you useless shitwads!'' I yelled, gently picking up the kid, bridal style. (Mood)

I rushed her to the lab, gently setting her down on one of the cots.

"Holy shit.'' Bruce muttered, coming over. Max then woke up, and chaos errupted.

Max's POV
-------------------------------------------------------

I jolted up, panicking.

I wasn't in the room, the balcony, no-where fimilar.

I hated when this happened, the feeling of not knowing if you were going to be okay, where you were, if you knew anyone there.

"Hey, calm down.'' Said a voice. My vision was dotted with black shapes, but I managed to make out the face of Bruce Banner.

I struggled to pull myself up, actually managing to do so, but was just gently pushed back down onto the cot.

"Let me leave, I'm fine.'' I managed to mumble out.

"What happened?'' Steve asked, as he crouched down to be eye-level with me.

I grumbled a few choice words under my breath. I hated when people did that.

I can't help it that I'm short and have to sometimes stand on the counter to get a glass from the shelf! (I can relate)

I didn't want to mention the deal with them.

They would think I was insane, mentaly unstable, which I was, by the way.

"Nothing, just dreams.'' I replied, pulling myself back up. The bleeding from my wrists and hands had stopped bleeding rapidly, only slowly.

"Dreams did this to you?'' Tony asked, his eyes confused.

"Look, sometimes my dreams make things, uh, real? Let's say, for example, one of you had this nightmare. You were swimming in the ocean and got your foot scraped on a piece of coral.

When you woke up, you could feel it, and you could see it. It was real.'' I explained, pulling on a Stark Industries hoodie over my pair of black shorts and a Black Sabbath tee shirt.

"Well, Imma go and try to get some sleep. Don't wake me up, it won't help.'' I said, getting up.

I got dizzy for a moment, but then regained my balance. Steve, the little gentleman that he is, made his way to my side. ''Need any help?'' He asked.

'' Capsicle, I'm fine.'' I say, walking towards the lab's exit. I give them all a salute, as I walk out.

I knew that they didn't buy the dream excuse. I mean, it does happen! But just not in this sitiaution. I opened the door to my room, quietly closing it.

I flopped myself into the bed, falling under the layers of soft blankets. I fell asleep, a mop of jet-black hair covering half of my face.
