Jungkook's POV:

I couldn't help but turn my head away, nuzzling into the bend of my arm to block out the light peeking through my curtains. The room was still, the subtle sound of birds chirping outside my window flowing together in unison with the sing song tone of the housekeeper outside my bedroom door.

"Mr. Jeon, It's time to get up." My housekeeper, Jayden, spoke as she carefully entered the room.

I hummed in disregard, on my own journey to find my way back to sleep as I turned over, nuzzling into my soft fluffy pillows.

"Come on, Mr. Jeon. It's time to get up." Jayden said softly, lightly tapping my bare back before taking a few steps over to open my large window.

I groaned as she pushed the curtains open, sunlight flooding into the room. I turned over, looking up at her as she cracked open the large window to let in a crisp autumn breeze. She turned to face me, frowning softly as she walked over.

"Sir, your father needs you up, dressed, and at the dinner table in 15 minutes; I also need to make your bed and tidy your room." Jayden explained, a slight annoyance in her tone as I couldn't help but chuckle.

"You're so cute when you're annoyed." I simply stated with a charming smile, her brows furrowing delicately as she crossed her arms.

"Your little charms won't work on me, Sir."

"Not yet. Although I did make an improvement if you're calling me sir now." I stated, winking as she shook her head and exited the room to let me get dressed.

I made my way out of bed, opening the door to my walk in closet as I looked at the various expensive suits, shoes, watches and various other quite pricey items.

I hummed contently once I had picked out a suit, getting dressed in a slim and smooth, black Gucci suit before heading out of my closet, closing the door before heading out of my room.

"Miss Jayden, you may clean the room now." I said as I looked over to Jayden, who was standing outside my bedroom door.

"Yes, Mr. Jeon." Jayden said as she bowed her head, walking back into the bedroom to tidy it as I began to make my way to the dining room.

I've always lived a wealthy lifestyle. Growing up, my parents were always very rich, and once I was working and making my own money, I only contributed to that wealth.

I've always lived above average, everything being extravagant or over the top as long as I can remember. Every year we held massive birthday parties where hundreds of people would come just for me. Or we would hold seasonal meetings where people with divine tastes or style would come just to pay a visit.

While it wasn't quite my standards, it was good enough. I live in a very large mansion that is spread across 4 acres of land, with an additional 2 in the front and the back. While it may not be a palace, it's damn near close.

All the flooring was either made of fine woods or a pearly marble, whites and solid golds decorating various rooms with the periodic red. Large windows decorated with long draping curtains that were typically tied with a golden rope-type band, and each small side table decorated with colorful flowers that nearly filled each vase beyond capacity.

I stepped down the long main hall, stepping through the large archway on the right into the glamorous dining room. The room had deep red wooden flooring, the chairs made of the same texture as vibrant blood reds or browns gave the room an all year 'round autumn-esque feeling.

I looked down the long table, decorated with soft orange and red flowers, black vases holding them atop small soft velvet-like cloth squares, a black and orange-gold fruit bowl in the very center.

"You wanted to see me father?" I asked as I stepped over to my father, who was sitting at the end of the table, facing the archway I entered through.

"Yes, I did. Glad to that see you're up." He said in his usual gruff or rumbly morning voice.

I nodded as I grabbed an apple from the center piece, the bowl having various fruits with small bowls of candy at its side. I couldn't help myself as I grabbed a Reese's peanut butter cup, unwrapping the sweet before popping it in my mouth.

I stepped over, sitting in a chair angled from my father as I took a bite out of my apple.

"I need to talk to you about your future."

I felt a wave of disgruntlement come over me as a groan left my lips, my eyes rolling as he leans back. Great...we're gonna have this talk again.

"As you know I am getting quite the age...and soon here I'll need you to start running the family business, as you are of age." He said as he looked up at me, seeing the irritation in my eyes.

"How many times do we have to have this conversation." I say, trying to remain professional as I sat up.

"I don't want to run the family business; I've never wanted to run the family business." I say as I furrow my brows slightly.

How has he not taken the hint by now? I've told him countless times; why can't he just support me?

"Listen, son. I know you want to do this whole idol thing but that takes a lot of work and there's always a chance that you won't make it."

His tone was gentle, but stern, as if he was trying to get his point across without upsetting me; but I couldn't help but feel more upset at his comments.

Did he not believe in me? Did he think that I couldn't do it?

My whole life all I've ever wanted was to perform, to be an idol, it's all I've ever wanted. Why couldn't he just support that?

I stopped listening to him as I clutched the apple in my hands, feeling myself grow angrier with each passing thought as I looked down at the table.

I got up, cutting him off and not even bothering to listen as I left the dining hall and headed back to my room. I was upset, more than upset.

I walked down the long extravagant hall, turning the corner and heading up the wide staircase, the soft red carpet along the center of the wooden steps cushioning each unintentional stomp.

I walked down the hall once I got up the stairs, sliding off my suit jacket and rolling up my sleeves as I stepped into the bedroom.

     Jayden was still there, great.

     "Hello Mr. Jeon."

My stomach twisted, I had to be called the same name as that small minded stubborn old man.

"Please Jayden, how many times must I say this; you can just call me Kookie." I spoke softly, hoping that I don't come off as rude or snappy due to my attitude at the moment. Despite my soft and convincing tone, I could tell she still knew I was upset.

She walked over to me, gently resting her hands on my shoulders.

"You okay?" She spoke softly, but I could only let out a soft sigh in response.

She knew how my father could be, and she knows that for years me and my father had been in a debate over my future and what I'd do.

I explained to her that my father had once again tried to ask me to run the family business, and that I couldn't help but feel upset.

She calmed me down, giving me advice on how to get through to my father or better ways to handle it before leaving me to rest and relax for the day. I shuffled over to my bed, a sleepy feeling coming over me as I flopped down onto the smooth blankets that covered my bed; maybe a little rest will do some good.

I took one last glance around the room, my eyes wandering over various family pieces before closing my eyes as I drifted off to sleep.
