Spring

The winter snow coats the ground,
While the grass below is safe and sound.
Cold doesnt harm this world anymore,
Frost isnt a new thing thats for sure.

The end of this frost does creep,
For the snow will begin to seep.
The wintery world will begin to die,
To give flowers a new place to lie.

Soon buds of color will begin to sprout,
All spread around the ground no doubt.
Green will replace the snowy white,
With only just a little more light.

The sun returns to this empty world,
During its absence the land had pearled.
Pearled with shimmering glistening snow,
But its job the sun does know:

Return to this cold world and to wake,
The plants and animals for their sake.
They've been gone away for so long,
They now will rise and hear a birds song.

Spring is here,
So wake up dear,
Before you miss,
The suns return kiss.
