I can't actually come up with any good quotes or something inspirational to start with, so I just wanted to say that you have done more for me throughout my time on this website than almost anyone else has. You've listened to me, you've dealt with my obnoxious comments, and you've indulged me with countless answers to my questions. You've been a role model -- one both when it comes to writing, and one when it comes to the person I want to be.

I want to be able to write with the dry, casual wit that you have mastered in Eleven O'Clock Number and Twelve Ways. I want to be able to slip straight into first person and maintain the character's beliefs and voice that you do in Puck Bunny. I want to be able to handle criticism with as much poise and hilarity as you do, and I want to be able to be as kind and sweet and thoughtful as you are. You honestly make my day -- whether I see a question of mine that you have answered, or a response to one of my comments, or the one time I got a dedication from you and pretty much curled up into a ball and died. You just make me really happy.

And I know this comes off as creepy, but I just want you to know that you are loved. You are beautiful, and so many people out there think you're amazing.

I don't really know how to end this, so I'll just reiterate: I love you, Mariam! And so many others do too. :-)

You mean so much to me, J. I don't think I've ever told you that, but it's true. You mean the world to me, and I'd do anything for you - except come too see you, because plane tickets are a little expensive for an unemployed teen girl . . .

The book club we were in was the best thing to ever happen to me, because it led me to you. Sometimes, when I'm all alone, I think about you and how fate brought us together. I thank God every day for giving me a buddy like you.
