Some background info for before you read. 1) this takes place in the middle of the Future-past vian lore because that's what makes sense for the story also it's my story so I choose the setting 2) since the lore is (seemingly) over I have to make a lot of shit up. Deal with it. 3) The hanahaki disease is a fictional illness born from one-sided love in which flowers bloom in the throat and the victim then coughs/vomits up petals or flowers

The illness can be cured when the other person confesses their love to the one with the illness, and they can't lie. It has to be genuine romantic love.
