I went into Marina's room to check on her, and it was not pretty.. she was coughing up dark purple flowers -the same ones all over her skin- periodically, with less and less petals as it continued. She could barely swallow- found that out after I tried to get her some water. Eventually, she passed out.
I took that time to look at the cures listed. Apparently they could do surgery, but it was pretty dangerous in her current state.. the other option was for the one they loved to love them back...
As much as I hate that stupid sea urchin he's the only one that could help Marina at this point. But what could I say to him at this point? I have to try something or else she'll die. I can't lose her...
Then I realized what I needed to do..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Where is he? I've been waiting for like, a half hour. We don't have time for this. Marina is dying. I'd already had to bribe him to even come! What if he says no..? That thought kept nagging at me throughout this while arrangement. What if... he didn't want to help? He has to. I sat and waited until I saw him approaching quickly, looking annoyed. "There you are! Took you long enough." He rolled his purple eyes- wait, weren't they green before? Who knows.. And who cares? "What do you want midget?"
I stood up and stared at him. Looking at it, he was.... different. The way he carried himself was... off. Not natural. He looked more.. aggressive. Just the way he stood was different, with his fists always slightly clenched and his eyes slightly narrowed. It was a little unsettling, but it didn't matter. "Well? Hurry it up or I'm leaving."
"You need to tell Marina you love her."
His eyes widened momentarily. "What? No!"
I felt a mixture of panic and rage. "You have to or else-" I stopped. He didn't need to know what was at stake. He didn't care.
"You just have to."
He turned to leave. "There you go again, wasting my time. NO."
"W-wait!" I tried to stop him, but he just ignored me. Panic rose inside me. Marina was going to die. And it's my fault. I should've told him..
But it's too late. I can't do anything. I closed my eyes and began to cry. I've never cried in public before. But at this point, I just.. don't care.. Marina..
