Well Known Strangers -Eren x Reader-

-a few weeks later-

I was running, running in the streets of shiganshina, back on that terrible day. I turned to see my everything being devoured by a titan, then suddenly it was everything I was hoping to distance myself from. It was Armin, Mikasa and all my other comrades, and it was Eren who stood in front of me. He seemed to be shouting something but I couldn't hear it, then all of a sudden I was falling, falling into nothing, falling into the infinite darkness that surrounded this cruel world, falling towards my deepest fears...

I woke up in a pool of sweat, I was breathing heavy and I felt like I was in a state of shock, Maybe I was. I put my head in my hands, It was horrible, my dream, no not a dream, my nightmare. I looked around to see all the girls were gone and I was the only one still in bed. I quickly got up and looked out the window, the place looked deserted, it must be ODM training again. I went to get my uniform to get ready when I noticed a note on the table beside my bunk. 'Told Sargent Keith you were throwing your guts up and your too sick to train, your on ill leave for the day, he's fine with it seeing how your top of the class with your ODM gear -Mikasa.'

It was nice to have the cabin to myself for the day, but I'm not the type of person that likes to skip out on training. I went and cleaned myself off washing my hair and getting rid of all the sweat that stuck to my skin. I threw on my uniform and pulled my hood over my face and sat on my corner bunk reading my book, there was nobody around but I didn't want to risk someone coming back early and seeing my face.

After a few hours of sitting and just reading I decided to go for a walk, It was only the late afternoon and I figured the rest of the 104th cadet corps would be returning pretty soon. I found myself walking back to my thinking spot as the sun started to set slowly. I was shocked to see the silhouette of a familiar figure sitting on the same log we were sat on the night before. I didn't say anything but I just sat down on the log, keeping my distance as I knew if I didn't I would soon break the promise I made to myself.

"You came," Eren said with a sigh of relief, I kept looking out into the distance, he opened his moth to say something but I quickly butt in before he could get a word out.
"Look I dont know what your playing at but you shouldn't be here, you shouldn't have waited for me. I made a promise to myself and I'm certainly not breaking it for a suicidal maniac like you. So you should stop wasting your time and just go cause I'm not planning on saying a further word to you Jager," I snapped keeping my vision forward. 

It got silent but I could feel Eren's stare burning into the back of my head, I felt uncomfortable so I got up and started  walking back to the cabin, He was following me back. 'Just back off Jager I mean it!' I thought to myself, he reached out to grab my arm and in one quick movement I spun round and kicked his hand away and winded him as he fell to the ground. "Is everything I say A joke to you?! Just Back off or I swear I will kill you Jager!" I said and started running back to the cabin.

When I got in the door everyone was quiet, I was confused until I saw Sargent Keith Walking up to me.
"(Y/N) getting some fresh air after being in bed sick all day?" he asked as he gestured me to follow him to his office.
"Yes Sir, I thought the fresh air would do me some good and that seemed to be the case," I answered as I followed him out the door. The trip was silent as we headed towards his office, It seemed as though whatever it was he was looking for he wanted to talk in private about.

When we got to his office there were two men standing behind Sargent Keith's desk. I knew Exactly who they were but had no idea why they were here, had I done something wrong?
"(Y/N), you have shown great skill, bravery, technique, and sense of drive these past few months of your training. I dont know weather you know this but you excel in all of your classes by leaps and bounds. We are giving you the option to graduate early and choose the path you want to take, you can probably piece together in your head now why Commander Erwin of the survey corps and Lance Corporal Levi is here." Keith said calmly, in fact I felt like the man had never been so certain and in control of a decision ever before. I was shocked.

Commander Erwin stepped forward and set a notebook out on the desk.
"(Y/N), we have been keeping a close eye on you and we feel as though joining any other regiment would be a waste of your skill set and we would like to personally invite you to join the scouts. If you were to agree to joining the scouts you would be assigned to Levis Squad where Levi and the other members of his squad will keep a close eye on you and show you the ways of the scouts." He said while reading through his notes.
"The only thing is I really dont agree with this hood," Levi said as he leaned against the wall. I was kind of taken aback with the remark and didn't exactly know how to respond.

"With all due respect sir, I feel as though a 15 year old girl who wears a hood to hide her face shouldn't be a problem to someone who is asking them to join their team, I don't feel comfortable removing my hood in front of others. Ask Sargent Keith I have worn this hood around my comrades since day one, and if its going to be a problem I think you should reconsider your offer," I said with a bit of venom in my voice.
"Look like she's got a mouth on her anyway, I'd be happy to bring her onto the team, as long as she knows an order is an order and I wont stand for defiance." Levi Said to Erwin coldly.

"Dont let him make you think anything you just said was being defiant, we've had people ignore his orders which jeopardised the whole operation in the past. We just need to know that you are willing to be loyal, hardworking, obedient, and brave to put your life on the line for humanity. If you were ordered to die, would you do it? If so We'd be happy to welcome you to the scouts," He said calmly and held his hand out for me to take. Did I really want this? so early? The scouts had been my goal from the beginning. But was I ready? Yes, of course I was, you heard Sargent Keith! I'm top of the class. I took Erwin's Hand and shook it.

"Welcome to the scouts (Y/N)"
