Well Known Strangers -Eren x Reader-

We found out that Eren actually had the ability to change into a titan. He was being kept in chains in the basement of a courthouse where he was placed in the custody of the survey corps after Levi kicked the shit out of him. Eren was sadly placed in Levi's squad which made my life so much harder. I talked to the other members of Levi's squad and asked them to refereed to me as (n/n) and my reasoning why. They were surprised at y sudden willingness to talk to them but thankfully they respected my reasoning. Levi also calls me (n/n) but mostly her just calls me brat as he does to Eren. I was walking through the halls of the old HQ back to my dorm when a voiced called my name stopping in me in my tracks.

"Hey (n/n)!" he shouted as he approached me, "I was wondering if you know anyone called (y/n) who joined the scouts or another regiments recently? She went missing from our cadet group a few weeks ago, I've been thinking about it and shes too skilled to just be kicked out suddenly, so I thought that might have been allowed to graduate early and gone into one of the regiments," he asked walking beside me. I just shook my head trying to get away from him. "You actually remind me of her a lot, she wore a hood, didn't speak much, she was around your height too! She never liked me very much but it was my own fault-" he managed to get out before i quickly cut him off.

"Yeah well if she left everyone behind without saying a word she probably had good reasoning for it so if i were you id back off, give her space and leave her to it. If she left without a word she probably wanted to get away from you and your group," I snapped looking right up at him then suddenly pulling my hood straight back over my face and legging it back to y dorm. 
"(Y/n)...?" I heard him sadly say to himself, I had seriously hurt him, I knew i had, it just didn't seem to phase me until now. but seeing him so lost after finding me hurt and i don't exactly know why...I don't know why bu it also angers me, not that he found out but that i let myself be caught.

I raced into my room, locked the door and slid down it until I was sat on the floor, head in my knees. 'I let my emotions get the best of me,' I thought to myself. There was a quiet, slow, three beat knock on the door.
"(Y/n)... Open up... Please..." Eren almost whispered from the other side of the door, i kept quiet. After a minute of silence he knocked again. "please..." I stood up and slowly opened the door. He plet himself in, wrapping his arms around me. "You had us all so worried... I thought you were gone..." he whispered to me, I just stood still. I was trying to think of a way to hide myself again. I could talk to Captain Levi about it and see what he thinks, but as of right now I just needed Eren to get out, to get out and let me disappear all over again.

"Why?" he said and my eyes widened with shock, why? why did I hide? was there even a reason for me to run? they just wanted to help right? Maybe a few friends wouldn't hurt? No. Don't let him get in your head, Take everything that you love and burn it, then burn the ashes.
"I had my reasons, the main one was you, you Mikasa and Armin. I needed to get away but of course you had to fuck it up and end up in the same squad as me. I hate you, I hate you so much. Get out, just get out and leave me alone!" I shouted after pushing him away, I couldn't help but be angry. I slammed the door in his face leaving him speechless.

After a few minutes I opened the door and raced down to Levi's office, 
"state your name and business," came his usual cold stoic voice from the other side of the door after I had knocked.
"(Y/n)," is all i said before he opened the door. He clearly saw that i was upset as he pulled me into his office, shutting the door and pulling me into a hug. Levi and I had actually become quite close over the past few weeks I've been here. "He found out," I mumbled into his shoulder, he immediately knew what I was on about as he hugged me tighter. " I need to hide, I can't let him see me again, I can't stay here," I mumbled into his shoulder once again.

"Now don't say that, you'd be gravely missed if you left. There's the attic, if you want to head up there I can help you clear it later. For tonight though you can sleep on the couch here if you want," He whispered to me in a more calming,  caring tone than usual. I nodded in agreement and sat on the couch while he went back o his paperwork. We sat in a comfortable silence as he worked, I decided to quickly ran to my room to grabed a book I was in the middle of reading, once i had returned we returned to the same comfortable silence we had been in a moment ago before I left.

A little while later Levi went to dinner and said he would bring me a tray back. Once he left i continued to read until he returned with some soup, bread and two cups of tea. I ate slowly while reading when suddenly there was a knock on the door. I turned my gaze to Levi as he turned to meet my gaze.
"State your name and business," he said and turned his head to look at the door.
"Eren Yaeger," came from the other side of the door, Neither Levi or I heard what came after that as he mouthed 'Through that door there!' Levi mouthed as I scrambled toward the door i had never noticed before. I quietly shut the door to Levi's room it seemed like, I ended up listening to their muffled conversation.

"Sir, have you seen (Y/n)? I haven't seen her since this afternoon, I'm worried about her," Eren said.
"(Y/n)?" Levi questioned, brilliant.
"Yeah (Y/n), or (n/n) whatever you know her as,"
"Oh the brat, no I haven't, whatever she does in her free time is her own business," Levi said not lifting his gaze from his paperwork.
"Sir, with all due respect I know you know where she is! She always comes to you when she's in trouble, please sir, Just tell me where she is, I need to speak to her!" Eren said raising his voice at Levi, Bad decision Yeager, Bad decision.

"Even if I knew where she was makes you think I would tell you anyway? I don't answer to underage brats that scream cause they want to know where their crush is. Just know that the only reason you're still sitting in that chair without my fist in your face is because I'm on strict orders to not let you get injured. If any other Soldier spoke to me that way i would have thrown them out the window by now, be careful of how you speak to your superiors, you might just end up on a table being dissected by those pigs back in the courtroom. My advice to you Eren is to give her some space, I can assure you that whatever you've been through isn't half as bad as what she's seen in the past. Dismissed." Levi said before Eren Stormed out of his office.

"You can come back in now," I heard Levi say, I entered the room and sat myself back on the couch.
"Thank you..." I mumbled as I started to eat my food again. It had gotten pretty late and before I knew it my eyes were drooping, and my book was falling out of my hands. I felt something being placed over me and then the darkness took over.
