Luna Nightshade and the Bane of Olympus

The Dreams

I'm currently helping Cate put her daughter Sapphire to sleep for the night. Sapphire was almost 5 months old and looked like her mother not her father whoever he is. She had dirty blonde hair, sky blue eye, and tan skin.

"Thank you for helping me with her," Cate said when we got out of the nursery.

"It's known problem godmother after all," I say as we walk down towards our rooms.

"Goodnight Moon," she said as she walked into her room.

"Night Cate," I say as I shot the door to my room. I put my black pajamas on and fall asleep fast.

I open my eyes and see a stream and mountains. All of a sudden a woman sitting side saddle on a sea monster came out of the stream.

"Who are you?" I ask the woman as she pushed her light brown hair out of her eyes.

"My name is Galateia the daughter of Doris and Nereus," she said as her sea green eyes sparkle in the sunlight.

"You're the consort of the Cyclops Polyphemus?" I say as I back away from her.

"I won't hurt you Luna and yes I am," she said as she got of the sea monster.

"Why am I here," I ask as I sit on a large rock.

"The bane of Olympus needs to be found before your enemies find it," was all she said as I was in another dream.

I saw a giant coffin and Sky bowing to the coffin.

"Find the bane of Olympus and don't fail me this time," the coffin said and Sky looked scared.

"Of course my Lord," he said as he ran into the blackness all around us.

I bolted up off my bed and out of my room. I run into Sam's room and grab him.

"No time to explain get Natasha," was all I said as I run towards Cates room.

"Cate get up now I have to tell you all something."

When we got to the living room Sam and Natasha were already waiting for us.

"What happened and why are you so freaked out about it?" Natasha asked as she yawned.

"The nereid Galateia visited me in a dream and said we need to find the bane of Olympus before Sky and the Titans find it," I said as I sat down on a chair.

"The bane of Olympus is the Orthrus. If it is killed and burned it gives a selected person the power and strength to destroy Olympus," Sam said as he fiddled with his fingers.

"After she told me about the enemy trying to find the bane I was sent into another dream where Sky was bowing to a coffin and the coffin was talking to him."

"That must be the coffin that Kronos was put in after the gods killed him," Cate said as she sat on the couch next to Natasha. We all look at her strangely and she said, "I heard lady Artemis talking about it one day."

"Okay so we are definitely dealing with a lived titan and his followers," Natasha said as she rubbed her head.

"We should tell the gods when we get to camp," Sam said.

"What about me. We will most likely see the hunters there and they will be mad," Cate said as she looked down at her hands.

"You have to face them eventually and all they will do is kill the man that raped you," I said as I got up and hugged her.

"What about Sapphire! The last hunter that got raped was kicked out because she wouldn't get rid of her child," Cate said as she sobbed.

"We will stand with you know matter what and if they want to kill Sapphire they have to go through us," Sam said and Cate gave him a sad smile.

"Yeah we will always be here for you," I said as Natasha nods in agreement. We all hug her as she sobbed into my shoulder.

"Let's go back to bed and talk about all this in the morning," Sam said as he walked back towards his room.

"Goodnight Sam," Cate said as she went to check on Sapphire before going back to bed.

"I hope the hunters won't be mad at her for leaving in a panic," Natasha said as we watched Cate retreated down the hall.

"I really don't know but they will be mad at the man," I said as I thought about how Lady Artemis came looking for her and I had to tell her I didn't know where she was.

"Maybe we can ask Apollo to see how he will react," Natasha said.

"Apollo did deliver Sapphire so he won't he surprised."

"I'm surprised Cate let him deliver Sapphire considering she is a hunter of Artemis."

"She is a daughter of Apollo and Athena was there when she went into labor."

"Why was Athena there?"

"Cate is the legacy of Athena and Athena was checking up on her with Apollo when her water broke," was all I said as I walk down the hall that leads to my room.

"доброй ночи луна," Natasha said as she walked to her room (Goodnight Moon).

"Спокойной ночи Наташа," I said as I close my room door (Goodnight Natasha). I go and sit by the fireplace in my room and pray.

"Lord Apollo I need you for a minute," was all I said and soon the room was filled with the heat that is cased from flashing.

"You wanted to see me, Moon," he asked as he leaned on a wall.

"Yes, do you know how Artemis will react to Cate and Sapphire?" I ask as Python who was now 5 feet long curled around my neck.

"Well, Arty likes kids but will hate that one of her hunters was raped. So she will hunt the man down, castrate him, and then kill him. But otherwise, she would love to help with Sapphire," he said as he pets Frost on the head.

"Okay, and why do you call her Arty even though she has threatened to castrate you more times then I can count?!" I ask him while sitting on my bed and setting Python on the ground.

"She is my sister and I have to tease her but I have to go the sun will rise soon," was all he said as he flashed away. When he was gone I lay down and go to sleep.
