Cuddles' POV
I can't believe it... I don't understand... why would he do this? How could he... With all the sadness, pain and anger Toothy just gave me in this note. None of it matters, I run out my door just to be immediately soaked all over again and see the river rushing so fast I can't even see which way it's heading. I'm trying to scream out for Toothy, but this wind is so powerfully strong I can barely breathe. I wanted to stay out of the water in hopes to find Toothy better, after 30 minutes I had enough and jump in. Struggling so desperately to stay above the dangerously high waves, I had to force myself to dive deeper so I might look for him... constant going up for air only to get hit by another wave, pushing me back down further than before... avoiding sharp rocks in my way... but I keep going. I don't know why, I just need to find him.
After several hours of this merciless pattern... I find Toothy unconscious without a care in the world. While grabbing his hand, I saw him open his eyes for a few seconds before he blacked out. It's nothing short of a miracle that I got us both out. Struggling to stay awake, overwhelmed from exhaustion; I take as much breath as already little breath can give, then exchange breaths, all while resting my freezing cold, pruning wrists right below his chest lays and forcing them down. Fast and steady, 100 pumps per minute, 30 times. As if my own life was on the line... nothings working... Toothy only looks more dead than ever.
Huge hot and heavy start to form, refusing myself to struggle breathing my already little breaths that I have from exhaustion. I place my mouth on Toothy's, then give him as much as I can until he wakes up, or I pass out.
I hope this was worth the wait, if not, then I'm really sorry. But next chapter will definitely be longer and much more POV, anyway thank you all so much for your support. Because of my slack, this book is no longer the 1# book of htf or Cuddles x Toothy, hopefully I'll get that back someday soon. Goodnight everybody! I'm going to bed.
