Tsunade leaned back in her seat and eyed Naruto briefly then she praised him smiling slightly, "Good work on these, gaki."

Naruto grinned at her and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "Arigatou, Old Hag!"

A vein popped on her forehead and she successfully supressed her urge to throw something at the cheeky brat or break something that was the very same cheeky brat and instead barked out a "Stop calling me that!"

Naruto knowing very well what she was thinking, just continued grinning.

"Anyways, you know the rules already when a person submits a new invention right?" Tsunade casually asked already knowing the answer. In case of a successful submission of a new jutsu or invention per se, the submitter shall receive an amount of money according to the rank of it.

Naruto frowned slightly, "I don't want it.." he muttered but Tsunade waved it off.

"Collect your pay before you leave. Here is the scroll for confirmation regarding them." She commanded firmly.

Naruto nodded in affirmation sighing lightly, "Hai Baa-chan."

"Now tell me how to connect this." Tsunade ordered.

"Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that ttebayo." He said sheepishly. "See those two strips of kanji I showed you earlier? All you have to do is channel your chakra in one strip and I will channel mine on the other, we will repeat this process on my notepad as well." Naruto instructed and as they both complete the process Tsunade sealed both the items in her 'Hokage only' drawer while Naruto pocketed back his notepad.

"Here," Tsunade says and Naruto looked back up at her, "This scroll is for Jiraiya. You will meet him in Wasawa village, it's a neighbouring village to Ash village." Naruto pocketed the scroll in his Shinobi bag.

"Good luck." Tsunade says looking at him with a poker face.

Naruto nods, "Thank you Baa-chan. I will see you soon." He gave his foxy smile and got up to leave, as he began to turn he found that he couldn't move. His eyes widened in surprise, a small blush forming at his cheeks as he smiles. He hugged Tsunade back, relishing in the rare moment of familial love.

When they pull apart, Tsunade takes out Naruto's necklace from his layers of clothing and simply looks at it for a couple of seconds. She let go of the necklace and kissed his forehead the way she did when she first gave him her necklace. "Don't you dare die on me brat." She warned. She knew full what dangers were lurking outside and inside the village, she had to be really brave before she had made the decision to let him go and she knew full well Naruto was aware of the dangers as well and had to be more careful and brave constantly. She would let him go, she would trust in him to live and do what he needs to like the way she knew Naruto trusted her with the village.

"I won't. Not a chance before I become the Hokage, Dattebayo!" Naruto exclaimed thumping his chest once with his fist and gave his trademark foxy grin.

She smiled back at him and let him go. From the Hokage's office, next he went to the mission room.

As he entered, he greeted the assigned Chunin with a bright smile, "Daichi-san."

"Naruto-san, how can I help you? All your reports are up to date." The man named Daichi, an average looking man with dull brown hair and black eyes smiled politely at the Hokage's favorite person.

Naruto scratched his back of neck a little embarrassed, "Ah yes, actually Baa-chan asked me to collect pay for 2 B-rank jutsus. Here is the signed scroll for confirmation from Baa-chan." and passed one of the scroll Tsunade had given him to Daichi.
