I woke to the smell of coffee and I reached out in search of Eli, but there was no warmth of him to be found and my face turned into a pout. A light laugh caused me to peel back my eyelids, revealing a very amused looking Eli standing in the doorway with two steaming cups in his hands. I smiled as I sat up and stretched, I was aware that I was nude, but I was unashamed with Eli. He made me feel like the most beautiful girl and I loved that about him. He didn't even bat an eyelash as he strode towards me. His chest was bare and I lost my breath for a moment. No matter how many times I'd seen him without a shirt in the past two days since we had been reunited, I was endlessly mesmerized.

I had since told Eli of the plan that Dex had come up with and that we had to be careful because he was holding Sheryl hostage. Eli didn't seem to worried and told me that he had people searching for them. When I was with him I felt so strong, I felt like myself again. I was once a strong, independent girl. Dex had buried her deep in the ground when we first met, but Eli was dead set on pulling her out again. For now, Eli had made his strength, my strength and that would do until I could recover my own.

I know that there is no way I could ever repay him for all that he has done for me, but I plan on spending my life trying. I would do anything for him.

"What are you thinking about?" He questioned with a grin.

Crap.

"Nothing!" I respond with a too sweet smile and he laughed at me.

"Liar." He said, leaning over playfully as if he where a cat ready to pounce.

"I'm not lying!" I shout, but I couldn't hide my giggles as he tackled me, pinning my arms above my head against the headboard with one hand and squeezed my ribs with the other, that sent me into a kicking and screaming fit of laughter.

"I give up! I give up!" I gasped and he finally relented, brushing my hair back and covering my face and neck with sweet, soft kisses.

"Good girl." He teased with a sly smile. "Now, what were you contemplating in that beautiful mind of yours?" He continued sucking and nipping at my neck causing my brain to scatter.

What was I thinking about again?

"I can't remember." I panted softly. It was the truth.

"Hmm... was it important?"

"Not at all." I whimpered as his fingers drew lines on every inch of my skin.

He chuckled as I pressed against his chest and climbed on top of him. I loved to sit this way because I could see all of him. He raised his arms and laced his fingers behind his head, watching me as I admired his perfection. I was starting to think that I would never become immune Eli's charm. How could someone so lovely be so kind?

"Why are you so nice?" I blurted and he laughed again.

"I'm really not, just to you and my mom and sister."

I nodded, contemplating. "Have you spoken to your mom recently?"

"She called last week and said she was in Dixon. She's good, apparently." As he drew circles on my thigh with his finger. "I told her about you." He added with a shy half-smile.

"Did you now?"

"Yeah." His smile turned into a full on beaming grin and in a second I was flat on my back again and he was hovering over me. "Is that a problem?" He teased.

"No." I replied, breathless from his movement and the feeling of him pressing his hips into mine. Two hungry hands slid down my thighs, hiking them up around his ribs and we got lost in each other again.
