When I turned away from her I could not help, but make a loop. Once I found her again I followed from a distance, glaring at every man that stuttered a step at her beauty. She seemed to be completely oblivious to the fact. I shook my head, she was a disaster waiting to happen. Although I got the feeling that the disaster may have already come and that I was just watching the reverberations.
Seeing that she was safe and locked inside her apartment, I could finally breath again. I knew this part of town well. She did not belong here.
"What the hell is wrong with me?" I called aloud to the wind. I didn't need this. She was trouble. Any woman who made me feel this way had to be trouble. So why couldn't I wipe the damned smile off my face? For a moment I thought I felt something stir deep behind my ribcage, but I shook it off.
Ducking my head down I jogged back to my car.
