When class started Mr. McGerald announced to the class that there was going to be a new student coming in to class today. Luckily for me I'm not the only kid who sits alone. Friend groups of three people have two people sitting together and one behind them so there was two other people sitting alone that he/she could sit with. I think to myself. The new kid is probably just like the other students surrounding me. Snobby, stuck up, annoying, preppy, jerks.

Halfway through class there is a knock on the door and Mr. McGerald opens the door an inch so only he can see who is there. When he turns around a kid walks in behind him. The new kid. Before I figured he was just gonna go sit with one of the preps but now I hope he sits by me. He. Is. So. Hot. I mean like he has not super long but long black hair that forms perfectly around his face that brings out his bright blue perfect eyes. Up his arms were bracelets. Just like mine. Mr. McGerald tells him to just choose a seat so he walks to the back of the room past every seat and sits next to me. I'm now just about to freak out but he only made things worse when he turned his head towards me and say "Hey ... my name is Jay." "I'm Danielle" I say just above a whisper because I'm so nervous. "Awe look." Terry yells after Mr. McGerald walk out of the room to make a copy. "The new freak is sitting by the other freak how cute!" Causing everyone to laugh and point. To my surprise he says "Leave us alone. Seriously though look who's talking. Your skirt is pulled up so damn high and you have your shirt tucked in to pull it up higher that it is making your ass hang out!" Shutting up every last student with every word that he said. Then he turned to me and said "What's your name?" "Danielle" I say again only louder this time forgetting about everyone around me. Then something flies from across the room and splatters both Jay and I. When I look down to see what it was I see red paint and pieces of purple rubber. A water balloon filled with paint. Before I can do anything Mr. McGerald walks in and sees the mess and starts yelling at me as if it is my fault and without even asking me what happened. When he turns away towards his phone to call the janitor Terry whispers loud enough so Jay could her what she says and says "Look there's more blood to add to what's already on her wrist!" I put my head down and try to block out everyone until the bell rings dismissing class.

In the hall Jay comes up to my locker and says to me "What does Terry mean by more blood to add what's already on your wrist?" "Nothing." I say holding my books to my stomach. "Okay." He says not believing me. "I'm sorry." I whisper where he can't hear me and he walks away.
