Chapter 3: A Day with Hans, A Night with Jack

Elsa

School went by faster than I thought it would, maybe it’s because I was excited to see the town with Hans and my challenge with Jack. I walk to my locker to see Jack standing by it. My, he works fast.  I thought as I walk there. “Why hello Mr. Frost.” I say as I reach my locker. He smiles, “Miss. Winter, I was thinking we would start this thing right and I would take you on a date.” I look at him, “Well, this is new.” I say and put my books away. “And where would you like to take me?” I ask. “Well dearie that is a secret.”

I look at him, what does he have planned? I thought. “Okay fine.” I grab his hand and write my number and address on his hand. I put a heart at the end, “Pick me up at seven.” I say and walk away. I’m going to win this challenge big time. I walk outside to see Hans, his wearing a blue jacket while the fall weather starts to bring a chill. The closer I get, the bigger the smile gets. “Hello Elsa, ready to go?” He asks as he gives me his arm. I take it gladly. “I am. Let’s see how this town is.”

I won’t lie, it was fun. Hans showed me the arcade, the mall, and now we’re at an ice cream shop getting some ice cream and calling it a day. We sit by the window as we eat our ice cream. “I had a lot of fun Elsa.” Hans says as he takes a bite. “I did too, this town is really nice and small, and something Anna and I both really need.” He smiles and grabs my hand, I know I should feel something but I don’t.

“I would love to take you out again Elsa, maybe on a date?” Hans ask, his green eyes shining in the light. Yes, he was handsome, yes he was sweet and kind but in my gut I feel like something was wrong. Like he could snap at any minute. I smile and pull my hand back, “Hans, you’re really sweet and this was a fun day, but I think I just need a friend, nothing else.” I see his smile go down and he starts to glare at me. But a second later, he was smiling again, “If that’s what you want. Then I understand.”

Okay, that was creepy… I think it’s time to go. I thought as I start to stand. “Thank you again Hans but I think I should head home. I have plans tonight.” I say with a smile. He stands and grabs my arm tight, “Is it with that Frost kid? His dangerous Elsa.” “Hans, you’re hurting my arm. “ I say trying to pull away but he just holds on tighter. “His just going to use you Elsa, I’ve seen you talking to him, in the halls, and at lunch.” “Have you been watching me?” I ask, now I’m getting scared.

“No, I’ve been trying to protect you.” He says. “Protecting me? You don’t even know me. Now let go!” I yell. People are looking at us now. Hans see it too and let me go. “Stay away from me.” I say quickly and walk away. Even though I was away from him, I felt like he was still watching me and I had no idea where I was. I sigh and call Punzel.

“Hey Elsa! Where are you?”

“I have no idea; I was getting shown around town by this Hans guy…”

“Mad Hatter Hans! OH my god Elsa, you have to stay away from him, his nuts. His worse than Jack, he gets obsession when he see something he likes.”
