Chapter 10: Amber

Jack

“Ready for tomorrow Jack?” I hear Birdie ask as she wraps her arm around Elsa. I smile as I see the look on Elsa’s face when she bought up Prom. I can’t believe it was only a few days ago when I asked Elsa to Prom, and told her I loved her. Ever since that day, we’ve only grown closer. After that night with the trance, we don’t talk about it. But it’s okay, when she’s ready, she’ll tell me. Nothing in the world matters more to me than she does.

We’re all outside at the spot where Kristoff and I play together, where Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and I all meet. “Did you find your dress yet?” I hear Merida ask her. I know Elsa is upset that she leaves tomorrow but at the same time she’s happy because she’s doing her dream of archery. “I did, but I’m telling anyone what it looks like, but only its blue.” She looks at me and smiles, “I want to make sure we match.” I smile and pull her to me and kiss her on the forehead. “Anything you want dearie.” I feel her hands squeeze mine.

I couldn’t imagine a better time than this moment. All my friends talking about Prom, talking about our future together. “Jack.” I hear I turn to see a red head walk inside. I don’t know why but I was drawn to this person. “I’ll be right back.” I say and pull away from Elsa. “Everything alright?” She asks. She has a worry look in her eyes. “Everything is fine.” I kiss her on the forehead, “I’ll be right back.” I left and followed the person inside.

At first I couldn’t find this person but then I see the long straight red hair going into a room. I follow quickly. The room this person went too was a staircase going down to the basement; I realize that this person was a girl. “Hey!” I yell but the girl keeps running down the stairs. I chase after her. Finally she stops her back to the wall. She’s wearing a long blood red dress, her bangs hiding her right eye.

I slowly walk to her, her smile growing wider. “Hello Jack.” I feel a sigh come out from my lips. “Who are you?” I ask as I stand in front of her, only inches away. “Amber.” She grabs my hand and pulls me to her. I look to see a necklace with a big red ruby hanging by her chest. I’ve never see a dress this low cut before, showing some cleavage. Unable to control myself I move my hand up her leg where a long slip went up to her hip.

I can’t control myself, all I feel and see is her. I don’t know what is going on, I don’t remember anything. All I know is that I want this girl. This Amber. “You want to kiss me right?” She says. I nod and start to lean in when I hear my phone go off. I growl and pull it out to see one name, Elsa. “Elsa…” I feel my eyes widen, it was like I was in trance. “Oh god… Elsa.” I look back at Amber and she is glaring, “Forget her. You want me remember?” I move my hand away from her leg and back up.

“I… I have to go.” I start to run upstairs. “Jack!” I hear behind me. Even though a strong part of me wants to run back to her, I keep running upstairs and away from her. I don’t know what happened; I don’t know what kind of power she has on me. All I know is this is something I have to warn Elsa about. Someone or something is trying to keep us apart.
