Eight

Ethan's POV

I think about the conversation Y/n and I just had, wait- that women said "but he's the one who took me away last time" and Y/n responded with "no it wasn't" that means, Grayson was with Y/n. Then I think about how Grayson was with Y/n today. It all links up, I'm going to have to talk to him about the situation. Once I arrive home from Jacob's I walk into Grayson's room.

Grayson - hey E

Ethan - hey Grayson

Ethan - what was the deal with Y/n?

Grayson - what do you mean?

Ethan - with Y/n, why did you take her here.

Grayson - just because-

Ethan - you can't be with her Grayson, she knows what you do.

Grayson - We're fake dating.

Ethan - why?

Grayson - she thinks it's because I want the girls to want me more.

Ethan - what's the real reason?

Grayson - I get Y/n. It's all a trap that she didn't know she was getting herself into. I moved to the same school as Y/n for a reason.

Ethan - Tell me Grayson, how many girls have you thought about while being with Y/n?

Grayson - none

Ethan - See I knew you've liked her for ages, but why did you go around fucking other girls?

Grayson - I don't know, I thought that she'd get jealous or some shit.

Ethan - that's not like her to get jealous Grayson

Grayson - how do you know Ethan?

Ethan - I just do, while you were fucking girls trying to make her jealous I found out what girl she is. I looked out for her for you.

Grayson - dude I've fucked up.

Ethan - yeah you have.

Grayson - I should've been there for her.

Ethan - what?

Grayson - when her mom started abusing her, when she was suffering. I could've helped her escape Ethan, gotten her a better house. I could've been there for her but I wasn't, I was too busy fucking other girls to notice that Y/n was struggling.

Ethan - don't beat yourself up about it Grayson, what's happened has happened there's nothing that can change that.

Grayson - But I can change me?

Ethan - yes, just be there for her Grayson.

I go out to the lounge room and watch tv, I hope Grayson hasn't missed his chance with Y/n, he's a good man and deserves someone like Y/n.

Wednesday

Grayson's POV

I walked into school and waited at Y/n's locker, she didn't turn up. I looked at the time and homeroom was about to start. I walked to homeroom, then came period one, and period two. I decided to text Y/n and ask if she's ok.

Grayson - hey Y/n, you aren't at school today I was just checking to see if you were ok.

My phone buzzed and I looked down.

Y/n - yeah I'm fine, just leave me the fuck alone, mind your own business you piece of shit.

I reread the message about 5 times, it's not like Y/n to write that. She's never said anything like that to me. Something must be wrong, I wait for the bell to go for break and I grab my stuff and walk towards my locker. I grab my bag and shut my locker, I turn around to be faced with Veronica and Ellie.

Veronica - Hey Grayson, where are you going this early?

Ellie - Probably to go visit Y/n since she isn't here today.

I ignore the girls and walk out to my car, I get in and drive to Y/n's apartment. I arrive and get out of my car rushing up to her apartment. I heard screaming and I pushed the door open. I saw Y/n on the floor with a large cut on the left side of her forehead, she had blood in the wounded area. Her arms were tied together and so were her feet. I ran over to her and bent down next to her.

Grayson - I'm so sorry Y/n, I-

Y/n - Grayson...

Grayson - I should've known and-

Y/n - Grayson, you need to go.

Grayson - I can't leave you here Y/n, I've made that mistake once I'm not going to-

Y/n - Grayson you need to leave

Grayson - but Y/n-

Y/n - now!

She whispers to me, I look around the room.

Y/n - quick, she'll be back any minute now.

Y/n - Grayson? Grayson why aren't you listening? You have to leave!

I look around the apartment once more and see that it's all clear, I pick Y/n up and run out of the apartment. I run down the corridor and I hear yelling.

Y/n's Mom - GET HERE RIGHT NOW!

I ignore her mom and keep running with Y/n in my arms.

Y/n - Grayson

I ignore Y/n and keep running.

Y/n - Grayson.

Y/n - Grayson stop!

Y/n - GRAYSON!

She starts crying and leans her head against my chest as I run down the stairs and out of the building, I didn't see Y/n's mom anywhere so I opened the back doors to my car and put Y/n in there. I remove the black tape that was around. Y/n's hands and feet. I hold her head and look closely at the wounded area. I close the back doors and get into the driver's seat. I drive to the nearest hospital and get out of the car.
